I put my focus magic on an unholy DK with 31% crit in raids.
Seems to work out well

#1 CoH Priest - A CoH Priest has SIX opportunities to crit on each heal of a CoH. Every Six seconds you'll likely have a new Focus Magic refreshed.
#2 Holy Paladin - Tons of flash and Holy Light crits. Good second choice.
#3 Disco Priest - Healing spec is centered around critting. They are likely stacking the stuff.
#4 Fellow Mage - Just to help one another out, if you have a really high critting boomkin, you may wanna cast it on them instead... But Arcane and FFB Mages crit like nuts.

Crit rate on my arcane mage is 50% to 70% on a 2 second cast.

A Holy Priest with Glyphed Circle of Healing and 20% Crit will have "100% chance" to gain the FM debuff for you on an instant cast every 6 seconds and every spell cast in between as well may help to proc.

I thought it would be 20% crit per heal. Each one at 20%. If that is true, then it doesn not mean 100% chance.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if each heal has a 20% chance (ONE in FIVE) to crit with six heals... Then at least one of those should crit, if not two or more.
I Play a Holy priest with Glyphed CoH as my main toon. I CAN tell you that I can easily proc stuff from crits with just casting a single CoH pretty much every time. My Surge of Light procs repeatedly for me.

who i put focus magic on depends on the fight. if it is a DPS race, it goes to either our FFB spec mage, ele shammy or one of our hunters. other than that, i put it on my holy priest buddy. although disc priest would be good as well to increase the frequency of DA procs.

Just a quick question on priest mechanics, as they seem to be the favorite for the buff. Is a holy priest going to cast
Circle of Healing
every time its up (6 second CD), or just when the raid is taking aoe damage? If just the tank is taking damage, cast CoH and hope for procs or cast something with a better coefficient?
Also, is focus magic enough to bribe a Disc priest?
Power Infusion
+
Icy Veins
+
Embrace of the Spider
looks like ridiculous amounts of fun, if they all stack.
Unfortunately you cannot have both CoH and PI. Different trees, different builds.
and to answer your question about priest mechanics, Yes.
If I cast a CoH on 6 targets of which only 2 actually require a heal then I can still proc my
Surge of Light
and give myself a chance at a free and instant cast flash heal. I "fish" for Surges all the time. The spell only needs to hit the target, even if it's a critical overheal, I may still get my free spell and you should get your FM proc. Now in reality, each time I cast CoH I get at least one crit almost invariably.
*** Side note - if you notice, above, I did put up "100%" in quotes to denote that it isn't TRULY 100% but expected to be very close ***
In between CoH I will cast off other spells, most likely being Flash Heal.
So let's take 12 seconds worth of fighting time and estimate how many spell hits I could get that have a potential to crit.
CoH - 6 chances
1.5 GCD
Flash Heal 1.5 sec Cast time - 1 chance
Flash Heal 1.5 sec Cast time - 1 chance
PoH 2.5 sec Cast time - 5 chances
CoH - 6 chances
Flash from surge of light - 0 chance
Flash - 1 chance
GHeal 2.2 sec Cast time - 1 chance
CoH - 6 chances
Spell hits total: 27 spell hits total. I don't think any other class can do that.
