Uh... no... EQ2's in game voice chat is used dominately throughout the game. It is much superior to WoW's in game voice chat, like most aspects of EQ2 are. Running an additional program + 134 addons is completely unneccesary. So... no vent.
Should we start one?

I'm not going to say that EQ2 is better than WoW... because it will make people QQ, so I'll just say this:
EQ2>WoW

Idk apparently though MyTie does bring up some great points in which WoW is lacking although saying EQ2>WoW everyone should know that it pretty much the same lol.
The same, yes, only different. Different, in that it has 10 more playable races than WoW does, and like... a dozen more classes, each with nearly as much customization as each one of WoW's classes. Also there is tradeskills, which are actually interactive. Besides all that, and a lack of 'cookie cutter' tyranny that runs balance, and ROFLSTOMP of pvp... and about a dozen other things... content... graphics.... ownable houses... guild halls... custom armor appearance... facial features customizable to the eyebrow... etc.. .etc... EXCEPT for all that and more... yes... they are pretty much the same.

Oh wow another fail by me. I meant the EQ2>WoW part is something that probably everybody know you're saying EQ2 is greater than WoW.
Yeah. My intention was not to do what I said I wasn't going to do, and to actually say that EQ2 is better than WoW, but try to incorporate a slight bit of humor into it. Everytime I do this absolmorph's vein pops out of his temples and his face gets red... "How dare you dis wow, on the wowhead forums... rubbish". Pfft.

EQ2 is simply older than WoW. For that reason, it's had more time to expand. Original EQ, and trust me on this one, sucked. Getting from Point A to point B without SoW SUCKED. HARD. The Tradeskills weren't nearly as good, the classes were a little harder to understand, and the graphics sucked and still do. (Not that that's a real issue.) EQ2 is a little bit better, i've heard, but the PvP and the game content is so much better in WoW.
EQ1 is not EQ2. I've played them both, extensively, and WoW extensively. WoW was a huge upgrade from EQ1... no doubt. However, EQ2 is still a significant upgrade from WoW. It's just sooo much more dynamic, and the content is more of an even challenge, instead of ROFLeasy for 80 levels, and then tedious raiding for endless hours to get slightly better, it is actually more geared for 80 levels of gameplay, and then has many many many different ways to improve your charachter. It even has a 'mentor' system, which I am extremely impressed with. It allows you to lower your level to match anyone lower than you in your group. It will scale all your abilities, spells, and gear down to that level, and you'll get xp in dungeons and whatnot. This means that all the content has people in it, instead of ZOMG naxx raid... again.

Graphics? The graphics of EQ2 aren't better than WoW's. Different, yes, but not better.
There is some room (depending on spec) to change talents, but some talents are just better than others. And if a piece of gear is better, it's better.
Content? 66 instances (including raids) in WoW, with far fewer expansions than EQ2.
Player-owned property? Well, it's not really anything more than a luxury, given the mechanics of WoW.
Customizable appearance? I'll give you that, actually. I'm a Druid. I have a choice of (at most) 3 forms for combat. With no customization of any of 'em.
Tradeskills? Well, I don't know how EQ2's system works, but the WoW system is fine for me.
Can we just accept that the games have different things that make them more attractive to different player bases than the other game?Hang on a sec and let me look up imagehosting so I can get you a screenshot... Then you can weep into your sweatsocks at how WoW lacks in graphics. The player owned property is beneficial in that it allows you to teleport from your guild hall to your house, which is in any city you can ally with. Everyone gets a guild hall self teleport every 15 minutes. Also you can put fixtures into your guild hall that provide teleportation benefits to all major areas., and also automated gatherers for your tradeskills. They are not just a luxury. Absolmorph... you hate how much I talk about wow... but you're only fooling yourself. I'm trying to open your eyes.

Also, everything you listed is a luxury, because they just make things easier.
My kidneys make things easier.
Edit: What do you think of my gnome?
