No, according to the Qu'ran, he was not an angel.
He also wouldn't be called Lucifer in the Qu'ran. I don't believe that Latin is used much in Islam.
He isn't, and it's not, it's all Arabic. He is called Iblis or simply the devil.
No, according to the Qu'ran, he was not an angel.
And according to the other two major books, he was. So the point is still made; if you wish to counter the example another way, feel free. Saying that in your book he wasn't is simply a cop-out.
Well, the two other books have other mistakes. Only the Qu'ran is perfect. I know that this sounds biased, but I am honestly stating what I believe.

I'll just leave it at "it is unfortunate that you believe that", because it is not true. But believe as you wish, of course.

My only question is this... where did all the magic go?

We are neither inherently Good nor bad, we are what we make ourselves into ( and what we are made into). We have a choice, that is what makes us different from angels.
Lucifer had a choice.
Your point being? The devil was never an angel.
Yes, Lucifer was an angel He committed the sin of pride, and he thought that he was more powerful than God. He led a battle in heaven against God, and he lost. God banished him to Hell as a result.
We are neither inherently Good or badI just wanted to point out that Renaissance humanists believed that people were inherently good. This belief has carried over into today. Christ also believed that all people were inherently good.
Actually, Christ said "Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone" Luke 18: 19
And as for the youtube link for mediator, unfortunatly I am on a ship with a very low bandwidth so I cannot watch that. I wish I could, but could you explain instead?
It basically makes a joke about Christians believing that morality comes from being fearful of divine punishment, and if they somehow believed that god abandoned them, then christians would convert into blood thirsty cannibals and society would fall apart.

It's a shame that something that's supposed to be as beautiful as religion seems to cause what is a good deal of the strife and anguish in the world today.

Yes, only the Qu'ran is perfect, the other two have been altered over the years (whether by accident or not is not my concern).

Then please try to convince me that I am wrong, point out what you think is wrong and tell me why, maybe I will learn something new.

Things that all theologians know are true. Like the fact that Jesus was actually a human. (Whether or not you believe he was the Messiah is a different story. There is archaeological evidence, however, which proves Jesus' existence.)
Ok Laihendi understands.

You are wrong because you choose to see it as "they're wrong in some ways" rather than "they're right in some ways".
I personally don't think that religion should have the breadth or faith that it does today. Aside from that, it is saddening to me when people who obviously believe the same greater goods can't, or refuse to, see that the other people in the other religion teach the same values, if without the same people or places or names.

I don't mean to be a &*!@ and disprove anything... but if you take any specific holy book and take it literally word for word, my question is, where did all the magic and miracles and supernatural creatures go?
