Ok, here goes nothing.
My UI:
Out of Combat
In Combat
I was going to upload a party/raid pic too, but they just look really awful imo. I haven't taken the time to configure them right.
Anyways, I used to have only one action bar but it was really asymmetrical so I added more. Sexymap is kind of cumbersome but it doesn't really bother me and it fits with my blue theme. There's a couple other parts of my UI that are still hidden, but I didn't have a situation where I'd get to show them so...eh.
But any feedback / criticism would be really helpful :).

To uberdyownz: The red bars next to your unit frames is pitbulls visual healing effect, just turn off the module "visual healing" or something along those lines and its gone. Other things about your UI, I would remove the buttons from your minimap, irritating and insymetric to watch at, and there is slash commands for the addons so not really necessary, i would also suggest configuring your unit frames some more, remove the gray box, get less text (you know you're a level 49 shaman, right?) etc.
Magemofo i really like your UI, though i would make the rep bar at the top fade out 100% when not mouseovered, usually i hate the sexymap artwork around the minimap, but it actually looks okay on your UI, because it matches with the blue theme of it (i still think it would still be better without, but it's not ugly).

Yeah, I really like this one too. What's the addon that shows your distance from the mob (ie: the blue 25-30 and red 0-5)?

NEW UI ! ...kinda.
I decided I didn't like my Paladin's old Ui anymore, so I have morphed it into the following:
Idle:

Casting:

What's the MS/FPS/MB bar called?
What addon did you use for the panels?

I'm pleased that someone liked my work! Thanks for the appreciation and the feedback.
There was some good advice I've tried to follow.
Now there's a thing that I didn't do, it's removing the portraits. They're one of the reasons I've even got a UF addon, I really like the looks. I just removed the one from the target's target frame because it wasn't necessary nor nicely looking.
So Finbarr, when you suggested making the combat log half the size and put Skada there, I guess you were imagining something like
this
?
As you can see, it doesn't work out well with my resolution, and Chatter wouldn't let me resize the window further.
So I went ahead and made the combat log half that size but horizontally instead of vertically, and put Skada below. Figured out how to make Skada switch between threat meter mode in combat and damage done recount out of combat, and also reskinned Skada and the action bars to make them look more like the chat boxes.
So this is how it looks now.
In combat
/
Out of combat
I've also changed the scrolling combat log to straight, I think I prefer the parabola but you were right, it does clear up a bit of space for tanking visibility.
Now the only thing left is to make Aloft work to improve the nameplates, and it will be done.
Wow, great UI. Definitely something I'll be working towards.
Few questions:
- To the left of your character's UF, and to the right of your target's UF, there are a couple of bars. I'm assuming the one for you is your cooldowns and the one for your target is its debuffs. What addon did you use to get these bars?
- Your UI only shows 8 skills. Are the rest of your important skills keybound and hidden? What about stuff like your mount, etc?
- What addon do you use to display the buffs in the top right corner, and does it automatically split into rows like that?
- What addon do you use for your UF, chatframes, castbars, and minimap (I think it's simpleminimap but I'm not too sure)?
Thank you. (:

I'm in the process of making a very flexible UI, one that I can hopefully use in all 6 environments of play in WoW: Leveling, PvP Healing, PvP DPS, Raid Healing, Raid DPS, and Raid Tanking. My general school of thought is that there should have to be no modifications when switching from one of these rolls to another. The default version of the UI should provide as much information as necessary, in a minimalistic fashion, will retaining all the functionality you want for min/maxing the above six roles.
It's still very much a work in progress, but I have some preliminary shots:
Clean
|
Targets
I should have a raid shot after tonight, and I'll try to label everything on it. My only question as of right now is how to remove the colored borders on Pitbull's buff/debuff auras.
Any thoughts, comments, questions, and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Looks good but the borders are quite thick.
