Talk about everything being large, work on making the unit frames simpler, simple can be a thing of beauty. For example do you really need to remember your name, class, race and level?
Chat doesn't have to be so large, change out buff layouts, those icons don't have to be so large or so cramped up together. For you action bars either set them to the side and have them set to mouse over or to phase based on holding shift or some kind of mod.

Replace FuBar with SLDT, much more configurable and more adaptive.
Use Bartenders fade out function on bars that are rarely used, in your case the bars with macros/mount/hearthstone.
Micromenu and Bagbar showing is waste of space, both have keybinds (/gm for ticket frame?).
Skip the blue glow on your minimap, in case you're not going for a blue/dark layout (which I doubt).
Use the same colorscheme on Omen/Recount, or have them transparent and place a panel behind it.
It looks like you're using Buttonfacade, in that case I would say use Elegance Dark or Xyrr.
If you're going to use a center minimap, try to create a balance on each side.
ElkBuffbars, is no imo. Use SatrinaBF instead, can create bars but still able to use icons.
Dont use oUF so I cant help you with that, even though I think Pitbull or Stuf can achieve pretty much the same result if not even more. But it takes some configuration and doesnt just jump up ready for use.

That ain't FuBar, that's Titan. I'll try out SLDT anyhow.
Thanks for the idea.
I realized that only after you said it, and now have hidden both permanently.
Done
Can you suggest an addon to create those background panels?
Dunno what Buttonfacade is, but I'll try the addons you mentioned and see what they do.
Done now, using Align.
I'll give SabrinaBF a try.

¹ kgPanels for the panels, quite easy to configure with the in-game config.
² ButtonFacade is a addon that changes the look of you action bars, the button to be more precise. And Xyrr and Elegance black is skins for this addon.
All of these can be found on Wowinterface.

Update.
NB: My DPS timers are in the space below my char's frame
Xyrr doesn't look like it can work with OmniCC (cooldowns on abilities on my action bars)
thanks for kgPanels suggestion, i'll try it out and see what it's like

Ok I think with kgPanels will make your UI into a finished product, however I think that your characters unit frame is a bit on the large side. For buttonfacade I would suggest either the caith or elegance skin for it, which you would have to download along side the base addon, I know each of those work with OmniCC but all should, so find one you like.
this should help:

new version of oUF_Caellian (the same i use) supports oUF_MovableBars. get it and with only alt+drag you can move every frame on the screen.
oUF is really powerful, but u need the right modules and a little knowledge of lua programming (nothing difficult i learned it by myself) just to edit the lua filees and adapt the layout to your own needs.

My UI (raid)

Do us a favor, press Alt+Z.
No but seriously that's minimalistic to the very edge, almost too (or too much for my taste).
Kind hard to place a comment on a UI like that, with almost nothing on it.
Though I think you should go for a square minimap with pixel borders, since the rest of your UI is pointy and square-shaped the minimap stands out.
And how do your buff frame work? I mean you have to have more then 4 buffs in a raid.

that's mine:P anyway, hide the title on the map frame, and move the cast bars since buff/debuff are there :P
i should post a ss with all activated, so people can see where things will go^^
EDIT: a combat pic would do the trick XD

Yeah, maybe it is a little extreme, but it has all the information I need.
Buffs with durations less than 2 minutes and all debuffs go in one frame (the one visible) and buffs with durations >2 minutes are shown in another frame to the right, visible on mouse-over.
I think it looks good. Although the unit frames in the top left corner are a bit hard to read.
