My Discipline Priest raiding UI
http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/584/tautauraidhealing.jpg
Grid is the central focus here since I'm a healer. My focus is to the left of Grid, and focus' target (usually a boss) is just above Grid, centered on the screen. Raid members who are slightly "greyed" out (more translucent than the others) indicate they are out of range of my healing spells.
Just above my Focus frame, I've got the ForteXorcist cooldown timer — handy for keeping an eye on my Penance and Prayer of Mending cooldowns.
The extra chat frame in the bottom left, just above the regular chat frame, is an area reserved for whispers. I don't like when whispers get mixed in with raid/guild chat.

And how can I choose a font in Quartz and other addons if the list is too long and I can't scroll? You could try updating your addons :s

The newest version of Quartz uses ace3 instead of rock, and i know you can scroll through the fonts/textures in it, since i shortly used it about 2 weeks ago.

If you get Quartz from wowinterface, it was last updated 6-7 months ago afaik, where as the one from wowace was last updated 4 days ago.

Raid shot
So I overhauled my UI a bit.
Things I'm not happy with:
Grid - it takes up so much damned room but I need it to be big to track HoTs. Ideally, I'd like it centered, but I can't make it fit without obscuring my character in anything bigger than a 10-man.
Quartz - I can't horizontally mirror the target's cast bar, which is terribly obnoxious.
I'm sure SBF isn't totally aligned somewhere, but I've yet to find an x,y placement option and have to drag it around and eyeball it.
For grid - Set it up against the right edge of the screen above your threat meter. It already obscures far too much of the screen for my tastes, but if that's what suits you, i'd suggest right edge.
Quartz - Are you talking about having your castbar mirror the target's castbar? If that's the case I'd suggest Align.. it lets you throw a grid over your screen so you can make the castbars exact opposite each other pretty easily. This will also make dragging your SBF bars around more suitable also.

Y'know, Grid doesn't have to be square. I understand you might like it like that, but scaling it down by making the individual units more horizontal may be an option.
Quartz has an option that allows you to automatically center it, either horizontally or vertically. Scroll down to the bottom of the "Player" and "Target" options to see them.
Do you really need a threat meter as a healer? I stuff the DXE frame right where you have it. If you're worried about screen real estate then I'd say get rid of it.

Idle before a fight

midfight
This is strictly a DPSing UI, I use a separate UI for Healing where Grid is central.
Things to note:
- The debuff frame above the target frame is filtered to show synergy debuffs (debuffs that benefit more than one player). I find it nice as a quick check of if anything is missing or unecessarily doubled up (these debuffs mostly kick off the "inferior" debuff but some don't, like a warlock using CoE when it's not needed). Tbh it's most useful on adds with medium/high HP where sometimes people think their debuff is not worth the global when actually it is.
- the bar below my feathery feet is for monitoring cooldowns only! (via OmniCC) I do not click anything, and I've been playing this char long enough to not have to look at action bars. I tried many Cooldown mods but in the end i realised i wanted something to show when something is on CD
and
off CD, and just a clear bar (one not cluttered with non-CD abilities) with OmniCC does that rather well. I have GhostPulse flashing me when stuff is ready too.
Things I want to change:
- The flittered list of buffs below my player frame. This never goes to 2 lines like the target debuffs frame does so I think I might double the size of the icons.
Any comments are welcome :-)
