Remove the "simple" part and use LiteStats, as people seem to think that low mem usage is a part of these days minimalistic interfaces.

Right, then.
Quality pic.
Also, realising that the font is unreadable is much harder for me as I am rather used to the UI, in addition to the fact that I've seen the original, non-scaled pic.
But yeah, would appreciate some add-on suggestions in order to replace Sexymap and get some proper buff frames. :P

is also really nice if you like that old standard of a border and you hate pixel fonts like me. Wait wut, so you're saying that all other minimaps uses pixelfonts. And you're not able to change them or what?

Sookie, I might understand you mentioning the border. But your crusade against pixelfonts won't, if I guess, come a long way here. Someones font taste has nothing to do with what minimap they should use, it's one of the absolute minor touches.
And what if he doesn't like Neav's font choice then?

I think that Wiki (and sorry if I'm wrong here) is merely pointing out that a dislike for a certain style of font (one that is out-of-the-box, and easily changed) isn't really solid grounds for discounting a certain addon completely.
Just like you don't like the font that comes with pMinimap, someone else might not like the font that comes with Neav's -- but it's moot either way because both can be changed, so you should be choosing based on other factors.

Glad to know there's still people who actually take up the "fight" against pixelfonts. It gets a bit more competetive, both sides has to actually prove which one's the best.

Pixelfonts, in my opinion, are fantastic and very fitting if used properly (and sparingly.) Things just go wrong when they're everywhere (or not the right size.) Also, too many bad pixelfonts floating around. People need to use good ones.
When I'm choosing fonts, I tend to have 3 -- a bar text font (usually pixelfont, to me this is there purpose, being tiny yet remaining legible,) a "text" font (chat window, quests, everything else, really.) However, I do tend to use a special, ornate text for names on unitframes. I love minimalistic designs, I love playing around with layouts, but I find the ones I actually enjoy
using
-- as opposed to taking an SS and scrapping -- are the ones that still feel like a "game ui." Having an "interesting" -- yet subtle -- bar texture, clever use of panels and styling keeps my ui feeling like a game.
Sometimes when I'm making UIs, I'm happy with them, but I feel more like I'm making a website as opposed to my game UI.
This is just me, of course, everyone has their own preference. These topics aren't about forcing ideals on each other after all, but about educating folks about basic and universal design principles. These apply to graphical or minimalistic UIs.
Oh, as for what I originally intended to say:
UI stuff
Really digging the layout, my only big qualm is the tooltip. Your minimap and buffs are offset from the edge of the screen, yet your tooltip is flush on the edge. Personally, I would (if possible) bump it out a little bit to be in line with your minimap/buffs.
Besides that, I'm really liking it.
EDIT: Also, there's one thing I really like that I've seen in a couple screens that I was wondering how to do. (Though admittedly I haven't tried -very- hard to duplicate it, I haven't been able to recreate it in Pitbull. Looking to possibly move away from Pitbull, however, very memory-heavy.) It's when the power bar seems to be behind the health bar on the UF. Is this a feature unique to a certain addon? It's really neat.

I like the overall look of those frames, clean and easy to read. Regarding that *IIIII* thing in your target of target frame, that is the default combo point display in STUF. How is your overall buff layout by the way? That spacing looks quite big, at least for my preference =)
The spacing looks that big mostly because of the timers. I'll get another shot of the buffs with the config up later.

1. In the blizzard options when you right click a chat tab you can change the transparency of the background color of the chat window to 0% so that you dont have a random slightly dark patch on your screen for no good reason. If you have it there on purpose for style, idk what to tell you because it doesn't match anything. If it's there to see chat better you probably could just pick a better font that is more visible without it.
My chat frame is 100% transparent. I took the screen shot while it was still fading.
2. The tally marks are probably a stylized combo marker that you never see because you're not a rogue or a feral I'm guessing. If that's pitbull go to the indicators>combo points and disable, and see if that does it. Any other unit frame addon will have something similar to turn it off completely if you dont want to bother configuring it.
I'll look into that. Yeah I don't play a rogue or a druid so it's been whatever for me.
3. You would save a lot of screen real estate by condensing your action buttons & your buffs. I would either make them bigger or just push them closer together, there isn't really any reason I can think of to have them like that besides not bothering to change them after configuring (I do it too).
I can't have my action bar buttons too close to each other. I click. I don't practice with keybinds too often, if at all. I tend to hit the wrong ability if they are any closer. I really don't think they take up much room anyways, pushing them close wouldn't really give me a whole lot of extra room than I already have.
4. You can format the quest tracking text so it doesn't look like diarrhea all over your screen (namely by defining font, size, and line spacing) with many addons. I personally use who framed watcher wabbit - weird name, good addon with just about every option, but personally I would just use it to do what I said. Many people disable the tracker completely to make chic UIs but I like mine and this keeps it in line with everything else.
The quest tracking is only there while I level. I don't build my UIs to be amazing while I level, I build them for raiding. I don't do dailies on any of my 4 80s, I live off the income I get while raiding so the tracking isn't an issue for me.
5. What is the big black box in the middle of your screen?
Omen
6. Not sure why your 5 party members are bottom center. Even if you have a 10 man instead of 5 man you won't have enough room, and 15-40 forget it. Hopefully you just set that for 5 mans and have some raid frames for 10-40, either a grid-type somewhere to the side or a list hugging an edge of your screen like many people do. Though I would move even a 5-man setup to a raidframe somewhere, because seeing that area under your feet is much more worthwhile to see (esp since thats not a healer ui) than other people's health for the purpose of the UI anyway.
That section is
only
for my party frames. I have my raid frames off to the side on my other UIs. Even with the party frames there, I play with my camera zoomed out far enough that I can still easily see everything by my feet.
All in all though it is nice. Good luck working on it further :)
Like I said. I haven't done any testing with it in raids, I haven't even set up the raid frames yet. Once I give it a go when I'm done progression raiding, I'll most likely tweak a few things.

I've never been a fan of KGpanels or any sort of backgrounds, so I would say do away with the black boxes.
I would also suggest unifying your fonts and bar textures.
You're player frame could probably use some work. They have some unnecessary information (class, race, level, etc) that you should know, especially at level 80.
And you could grab a minimap addon and/or hide some/all of those buttons.
