haha, to show what monochrome text would look like at that size, I had to actually pencil in the border manually..I guess I just missed a spot. :P If you look at the link again it's fixed! (I love dropbox)

Saft, my master! Can you lend me a hand about this?
it works, but it seems that frames are sized at the moment i reload the UI and then stay that size; which event should i register for a correct update without reloading the UI everytime?

Umm it ain't that hard.
Have you hade a look in Omnicc.lua?
In GetBaseDefaults there is a "settings" section.
set:
fontOutline = 'OUTLINE MONOCHROME',
And id recommend
scaleText = false,
for a fixed fontsize instead of that crazy scaling omnicc overrides.

Still working on my UI (taking ages!) having some issues of where to put a pet health/mana bar frame, currently as shown on the screen it's:
focustarget - focus - player - target - targettarget
Castbars are underneath the frame, pet control bar is above the player frame and a debuff timer mod is above the target frame. Raid/party frame is at the bottom (pasted on this image with my horrid 'shop skills :P) and action bars below that. Can't think of a suitable place to put it :/
Any suggestions? thanks in advance!

That looks pretty sweet to me.
Any chance you could list the mods you're using for this?
Are the drop shadows on the unit frames done with kgpanels or a texture added to whatever unit frame addon you're using?
I've been trying to achieve the same effect with kgpanels and custom borders but failing.

Any chance you could list the mods you're using for this?Hmm, hard to say. I've took quite a few addons and stripped them down and rewrote parts of them to get them to function and look how I wanted and others are just self made addons that I never released. A good amount of the original addons I used are from Skaarj UI, I used that as a base as I liked his style of action bars and his low memory usage.
Are the drop shadows on the unit frames done with kgpanels or a texture added to whatever unit frame addon you're using? The UF drop shadows are done with the glowTex.tga file from
oUF_Freeb
and used as an edgeFile when making a backdrop for the frame, check out his createBackdrop function in the freeb.lua file, gives a good way to add the backdrop to the rest of your frames pretty easily. The main texture on the frame is an edited version of the one zork uses for his Roth UI (Diablo one). The UF's were oUF Freeb but have been gutted and massively edited, the raid UF's are custom.

Perfect. Thank you.
Would you recommend oUF over Pitbull/Shadowed Unit Frames?
I've been mostly using Pitbull so far.

I would, but it's personal preference I think. I just love the customisation that comes with oUF, granted you need LUA knowledge to make the most of it however the templates available are superb if you can get one of match your liking.

I'm trying to follow Ilive advice, but i'm stuck with one thing. How can i make raid groups to be displayed horizontally instead of vertically and the make them grow by rows instead of columns?
edit: solved, gonna post a screenshot as soon as i can.

Coldkil, if you like your UI as it looks, then it's perfect. Your goal is to satisfy yourself, not us. :] Everytime we come with critic, you should tell us to shut up and be happy. :]

Anyone familiar with oUF raid frames and the oUF initial configuration stuff? I have my raid frames as I want, but the frame doesn't stack anchored properly and it moves dependant on how many groups are in the raid. Tried playing with the anchors but not having much luck, just need them to start on the left, grow to the right until 5 members then stack on top. Kinda have this.. but the original anchor keeps moving :/
These are 5 man setup
, as they can see they are aligned properly. However
in 10 man
they shift down. These are shop'd images as I never had any to hand but just illustrating what's happening.

I think the same way :) but i always try the solutions people propose to me. Sometimes i stick with my concept, sometimes i see an improvement.
So the UI evolves becoming better and better and still i like it
edit: tbh, i'm becoming bored of the unitframes and i'm drawing some concepts again XD

It was the same issue i had with my raid config. If you can paste the code i can help you out i think. Anyway it seems you have a dynamic replacement of the raidframe based on the number of people in raid. In my UI i solved the problem removing it completely ;)

*laughs* that's one way to do it!
Anyway, here's the layout / spawn code below. I fiddled with it a little last night, totally forgot I had. What happens now though is that the vertical part is okay as I'm anchoring to and from the bottom of the screen and in a 5 / 10 man it looks fine, but when solo or have < 5 in a party it's center aligned so for just me it'll be smack bang in the middle of the bar, and every extra one is just spreads itself out until ends up looking like it did in the screenshot I posted with 5 members.
Hate setpoint/anchors! they are more annoying than complicated gsub patterns.
local raid = oUF:SpawnHeader('Raid', nil, "raid,party,solo",
'oUF-initialConfigFunction', (]):format(63, 23),
'showPlayer', true,
'showSolo', true,
'showParty', true,
'showRaid', true,
'xoffset', 8,
'yOffset', -8,
'point', "LEFT",
'groupFilter', '1,2',
'groupingOrder', '1,2',
'groupBy', "GROUP",
'maxColumns', 8,
'unitsPerColumn', 5,
'columnSpacing', 6,
'columnAnchorPoint', "BOTTOM"
)
-- to / from
raid:SetPoint("BOTTOM", UIParent, "BOTTOM", 0, 90)
