Yeah, definitely the baddest of baddies. But defending a tower against 4 hordes has never been so fun!

Naaah, it's more fun to be in the middle of the action coding and fighting :)

UI
Unitframes: Left bottom is player, above is pet. Right bottom is target, above is target target.
Would like some feedback. :D
Suf, bartender4, quartz, others.

Finally made a UI anywhere close enough to be worth posting!
Out of combat, generally.
Nothing special. I like to keep the cooldowns up just to moniter what tools I have between pulls, but maybe I'll fade them out like I did with the rest of the bars, but not completely like the main two.
If I mouse over the bars, they become much more visible.
Also works for the bag bar/micro menu, but not the main bar.
In combat, diseases down.
The Frost Fever and Blood Plague aura's show up if they're not on my current target, and the Outbreak one if Outbreak is off cooldown. Profession/mount bar disappears completely, alongside micro menu and bag bar. Main bars become instantly more visible.
In combat, diseases up.
The Outbreak aura is gone, and the Frost Fever/Blood Plague aura's are replaced by cogwheels of the appropriate color, with a timer to show the duration. Also, you can see the enemy cast bar on this one. The player cast bar is situated just under it but notably smaller, but the only thing I use it for is timing mount jumps for getting out of the EoTS bubble (and similar harmless exploits) and Army of the Dead.
Maybe tomorrow I can get a nice pic of it in raid.
One thing I've been thinking of doing is removing abilities like Death Strike, Heart Strike, Rune Strike, and Blood Boil from the bars, and relying solely on rune display/runic power to see if they're available. Additionally, there is no longer a % value on the runic power bar (that's just useless). I was thinking of setting up a Power Aura for Blade Barrier, but I don't think it would make the cut from a clutter vs. usefulness/utility point of view.
Edit: Also maybe make the bars a bit smaller. I'm playing on a laptop, and have no choice in the matter there, so I have to make due with a fair bit less screen space then everybody else.

Skin your buttons, put a border around your minimap, and get a chat addon to hide the input bar when it's not in use, it will make your UI like tons better. Also, the .1 alpha may as well be 0 alpha, and the bar on the right should have the 0 alpha also since you don't need it most of the time.

Basically, Saft wants you to use more TukUi and doesn't want to say it.

Also, Saft, my combo points are prettier than yours:

So, I'm working on my post-4.2 UI (
stealing
borrowing heavily from Ish's), and I was wondering if there was a more elegant way of doing what I'm attempting to do. Basically, I want my health bar to change colours sharply at certain percentages (so, for example, 100%-66% = class colour, 66%-30% = yellow, and <30%= red) rather then the gradual fade from green to yellow to red that most user frame addons offer.
Currently, bar writing a user frame addon myself, the only way I can think of doing this is creating a series of pixel thin kgpanels with scripts to change the colour based on my hp%. As I'm not even sure if that is possible, advice from more experienced UI creators would be appreciated.

Just use oUF as kamii suggested. You just need to re-write the PostUpdateHealth(). I use a gradient in my UI, but changing colors related to percentages is even easier.

Cool, I'll set up a layout with stuf first, then slowly work on getting to grips with oUF as and when I get free time. Thanks for the point in the right direction :)

I suggest you to start with oUF_classic. Otherwise there is a nice tutorial on WoWI forums for oUF layouts made by zork.
Pretty much it's all covered there.

Will someone like me be able to understand an addon like oUF? BTW, link that thing Coldkil. :)

I'm a bit interested as well... Should be getting a new laptop within the next month *shakes fist angrily at HP*, and I'll probably be tweaking the crap out of my UI anyways.

Ok, here it is for you.
Very good tutorial, from Zork (maker of diablio3 UI)
Follow the 1.5 one.
How i learned:
Get this
+
this
and mess things up.
My UI is entirely built with the second method, but i had already previous oUF experience. I have included different plugins too, so i'm going to make it more than a simple oUF layout and it will become a standalone addon.
