If you could rid the world of cancer in an instant, but in the same instant, you, all your family, and everyone you love would die, would you?

No, cancer is a very useful part of curbing human population growth.

Nope
It wouldn't be a personal sacrifice if it effects all your loved ones. Besides, everyone has to die at some point, me killing myself and all my loved ones would only slow the inevitable for the rest of the world. Just an
uneven
worthless trade imo. also what Molfsontan said.

I would love all humans :)

Other than the error in wording pointed out by Ghoso, yes.

It would not only be a personal sacrific, but also a family sacrifice. What do you think I'm gonna say Skyfire?

Were it a family sacrifice, the question certainly changes. The answer only changes to include what they would want. One person choosing not to end their life in the name of ending cancer would stop us all.

I'd say no. It isn't a personal sacrifice if everyone I'd love would die with me. I have no desire to bring them with me if I would come across this decision.
If it was just me, eh... maybe. It depends on how my life is and how far we are into finding a cure for it. I don't care how selfish that sounds, cause Molfsontan is right. The disease (like many others) takes part keeping a balance in human population.

Yea, currently humans are in an exponential growth cycle. Diseases, war, and cancer will stop us from just utterly flooding the world.

If I wouldn't be there to see its effects
and
have all my loved ones die at the same instant, no.
Let me live and I'll think about it.

This.
Mom
: Son, I have news. I am ill with cancer. I am expected to die within 2 months.
You
: Wow. What an incredibly excellent tool nature has to prune down population. It's a good thing, too. There are simply too many people in the world. Anyway, there is a special on TV about Angela Davis, so I'm going to get going.
Mom
: But, I'm going to die.
You
: Later, mom.

According to your original post, you have to sacrifice your Mom in the first place.
So she dies either way.
