Awesome thread. Nice work - i'll try to add what (little) i can around new stuff.
I'd add a section based around the Tier8 4Piece bonus as it's immense if used properly.
eg: Once you have this bonus / set, it's well worth doing the following:
1. Regem to Agi from AP
2. Respec to
51/7/13
3. Profit
(Glyphs are the usual trinity of HfB, Muti and Rupture)
This will give you a 5-10% damage boost, depending on your raid setup. eg Is there and Arms Warrior?
This is exactly what I mean, like I said somewhere in the thread, atm I'm hella busy with work/raids so I'm gunna need the communities help with this =]

Rogue...community....
Oh this:

I disagree, within the months of research I've been doing since joining WoW as a rogue, there's a community inside a community. A lot of us DO stick together and help eachother out.
But LOL @ that image.

I do have a question though is there a reason a Mutilate rogue wouldn't want to spec into Lightning Reflexes? I have gone through some of EJ's readings, the math is a little more than I understand, and as I am new to the rogue (enhance shaman, holy priest, frost dk tank) it will take a bit of time for me to figure out the math. I was looking for a simpler explanation as to why you would skip the energy refresher for a bit more haste.

Dropping Relentless Strikes for LR doesn't work because you end up energy starved anytime you use a finisher. RS gives you 15 energy Ruptures and free Envenoms (when you count the regen during the GCD). The energy you'll generate from extra Focused Attacks proccs given 10% haste rom LR will not outweigh the energy you get from RS each time you use a finisher.
Thank you for putting that in Laymans terms for me. i appreciate that, but I do have one small correction RS only gives you a 20 percent chance of 25 energy refund. Not each time unless I missed something, but either way it's still better to have 25 energy than 10 percent haste :P

that is... 20% per CP, 100% with 5 CP's and 80% chance with 4
IOW read the tool tip more carefully.

Links should be made in the first post to each section of the guide for easier navigation.
Also, the poison quest no longer needs to be completed for poison usage.

I really don't know how to KiDb, if you could just give me a quick explanation I'll put that in there.
Edited the poison quests out too.

LOL what's funny is I reread that 5 minutes after I posted it went back to edit it and you had already pointed it out :P. Thanks for the pointer though. I am enjoying my rogue. I still have to go back to my DK from time to time, as playing him is much easier than the rogue. Got to get used to the sneak up and stab method over the run up and bash your brains in.

Ah ha, cheers. Sorted and added in.
There's some upcoming changes to professions, but I'll edit those when they go live, they're subject to change atm.
Also if a mod is reading this, the link in the first post with the useful rogue threads is the old 3.0 guide.

I'm surprised the macro section is lacking the Mother of all
TotT
Macros™
#showtooltip Tricks of the Trade
/cast Tricks of the Trade
Translation:
It will allow casting tricks of the trade without losing your current target in the bossfight. The first conditional, , requires your current target to be friendly and buffable (friendly NPC's are no longer valid targets). If that condition isn't met, like when you're attacking a boss, the macro skips to the second conditional, which checks if you have a focus target that is buffable. If you don't it will cast tricks on the target of your target if it's buffable (your tank, preferably :p).

Ah I probably should of said it here but, i'm slowly revamping some of the sections. Especially the macro/addon section. Just wanted to get this posted up asap. But i'll throw that in there. =]
put that in, if anyone wants to contribute macros, be my guest ;]

Good stuff! Still not playing, but my buddy from work told me people were asking about me so I figured I'd drop by. KidB... I cannot believe you are still here... clearly my hero!
Keep it 'fresh'... and you know what I mean.

8.d Engineering
PvE - Goggles have been the staple of the profession, +haste to gloves is the icing on the cake
PvP - With the Goggles being nerfed, and the nitro boots no longer usable in arena, this isn't a great PvP profession anymore.
Becuase burst is the key to PvP, rocket gloves are very useful in PvP even though goggles and nitro boots aren't useable anymore.

You could also argue that Herbing is better, because survivability is the key to PvP. It isn't as good as it once was, but will try rework the wording.

herbalism will be nice come 3.2 as most of the gathering profs are getting buffed.

Ah crap I'm gunna have a lot of updating to do with the upcoming patch. Right now changes they are making on the PTR are subject to change and are in no way definate. As soon as there's confirmations on any of the changes the sections I will be reworking anything thats effected.
I WILL keep this up to date as much as possible.
EDIT: Thanks Kicklucky! Nice to see you posting.

Fancy math, but it's additive for each combo point, meaning it sums up to 100% at five combo points. Having a clue about game mechanics is recommended prior to posting.
