If the United States were to march thier army onto Africa, and depose every nation on the continent, instituting thier own government over the entire area, would this be a bad thing?
One of the major problems would be maintaining stability. There are many ways to go about this. I propose, all the people to be issued a number, and every square mile of farmable land to be issued a number. Then, all the people randomly assigned, and evenly assigned across the continent. This would nearly wipe the continent of political alliances, and any trace of the preexisting governments. After one government was put in place over the continent, subject to the rule of the United States, the whole place would have a chance at peace, which is not feasible with the current governments and ruleing tyrants of the area.
Opinions?
Edit: I don't personally think this would be a good idea. I am simply presenting this for a discussion topic. Please don't attack me personally, as I will just ignore you.

I don't know about the history of Chile. Sorry.
The comment about the US needing to focus on itself, I agree. The problem still remains that it is going about fixing its economy in the wrong way.
Anyway, your view is that taking over Africa would be bad because it would be?

Actually what I was describing was more like facism. The people owned the land after a militarisitic redispersal.
Besides, I'm not saying I agree with anything I posted earlier. I think it is a very flawed idea that would end in chaos and wars upon wars.... but it is still worthy of discussing.

Again, I am not familiar with Chillian history. Sorry.
Imagine you are doing laundry at a laundrymat, with your friend. You two are sitting there talking about what flavor pop tarts are the best. All of a sudden some dude starts to beat one of his kids. He punches the kid in the head until the kid dies. Then, he starts to punch another of his kids. Your friend turns to you and asks, "Think we should go stop him?". Then your reply would be, "I don't believe we have the right to play arbiter of the world". And besides, you have your own laundry to think about.

I'm not talking necessarily about cases in which there is genocide or mass murder happening.
You aren't talking about Africa then. Obviously you are talking about Chile, over and over.... Come back when you would like to be on topic.

@IronGolem - Thanks for your research and views. I would like to stress that I do not personally agree with the topics I posted in the origional post. I am just proposeing a discussion on the possibility.
@ASHelmy - Anytime the US is brought up there has to be some goon that jumps up and yells 'zomg Iraq'. Try posing some well thought out arguements please.
@Ivokk - No matter if the US acts or doesn't act, it will be criticised.

Ok, wise guy, I actually thought you were getting at something smarter/deeper then "leik lets go and invade an entire continent", but it seems that you are actually suggesting something as stupid as this.

Well, the US shouldn't muscle it's way into an entire continent to be honest.
Several countries in Africa are in turmoil, such as Zimbabwe, but that does not mean the entire continent is in turmoil.
That is like saying, one <enter minority here> is <enter negative adjective here>, so therefore every single member of the <minority> is like that. Hello, stereotypes.
America seems to make itself out to be the best of the world, that can handle the entire planet alone, the self-proclaimed governer of Earth. Which is very false. Of course, my view may be misinformed, as I am an outsider looking in, but I can use an example.
So, today I was browsing through Facebook, and on my homepage a friend had done a "which nationality are you?" quiz, with the result Italian. However, the image was the American flag. Also, whenever something is on the news about America, the Stars and Stripes are always seen. That seems to me that yes, America is patriotic, fine. However, the American flag being almost forced into your mind has made me dislike the US, because it seems as if they are trying to make their beliefs global. (Inc. flame. /equip flame shield.)
I think America would like to be imperialist, but will not succeed, or become an Empire as large as the Roman or British Empires, for example.

Ok then, if you actually think you can take on an entire continent, then by all means, try it.
