Thanks for the thoughts on Subtlety.
I think I missed the "non-talented" part of that sentence.
Anyway, thanks again for the great guide.

One more question on the Spirit component of Tree healing:
With the rotations that you've described, it seems like there is little to no time spent outside the 5SR, in which case you really shouldn't be concerned about Spirit as much for mp regen. Would you say that this is how it works out most of the time?
Also, I would like to point out that if you happen to have a Priest in your group with Improved Divine Spirit, that your spells will heal for 10% of your total spirit so Living Spirit could help out more if IDS is part of the raid composition.

when ur lookin for gear u want +healing/MP5/Spirit/Int in that order. Not sure how the new patch is going to affect the latter 2 since int will affect spirit but that is how I have been runnin it.

Nab, how do the threat mechanics work if you roll a regrowth and rejuv on a tank before they begin a multi-mob fight? Does the tank generate the heal agro against all the mobs since he brought the heals in? Is it only after you're considered in-combat as a healer that you begin to generate threat?
I'm trying to supplement some additional threat on a poorly played warrior tank. I usually sacrifice my own mana efficiency and let lifebloom expire, assuming that small portion may help. Lately, I've tried squeezing in a quick rejuv right before a pull is started thinking it will help generate some initial agro on everything he isn't targeting. I know the appropriate response is probably to not group with him or have him improve his game, but I don't mind learning and min/maxing my own game while he learns.

Threat is only generated on targets that are engaged. Over-healing also does not generate threat.
Also, Rejuvenation and Regrowth's HOT component generates threat for YOU, not for the tank. Only spells like Lifebloom or Earth Shield or Prayer of Mending generate threat for the player they are applied to.

If the tank is at less than 100% and the pull has started, your HoTs will tick and heal HP, which will generate threat
for you
because you're the one doing the healing, not the tank. Which will make it
harder
for the tank to keep aggro.
I guess I'm wondering about that transition period from out-of-combat to in-combat where the healer avoids healing right off the bat after a pull but HoTs cast out-of-combat carry over to combat.
Let's say everyone is out of combat and the tank is at 80% health. A regrowth and rejuv have just been started and the tank enters combat. I don't heal yet so I'm not in combat, the tank is on his own. I'm assuming I'm not even on their threat list yet. I'm wondering if the healing (that's actually healing) is generating additional threat for the tank as if he were the one healing himself. So I guess the test would be for dps to attack something that's only been body-pulled. They should get agro on the first hit if no agro has been built. If the tank has been generating agro, they'd have to out-dps that minor heal agro. Right? Or does that healing threat get reference to some null target since the healer isn't on the threat list yet?
Does that make sense? Sorry for the confusion earlier. I'm pretty
comfortable with overheals not generating threat and how lifebloom
is different and functions. I read your guide, hehe.

I'm guessing here, but assuming your HOT was applied OOC, and it's ticking
as
the tank pulls the next group, it will still be ticking as heals coming from
you
and thus will engage you in combat on the next healing tick. You could easily test this, as you've pointed out. I would set it up as you've described it. Have a player at <100% body pull a mob. Wait for the next tick of your HOT. Either the mob will go to you or it will stay on him and you will stay OOC.
Under no circumstances would the heals apply as threat for the tank, I'd say.

I'm pretty sure that what will happen is that you will
become
in combat as soon as one of your HoTs heals the tank, but I agree that it should be a simple test. It won't go to the tank, though, that I know. At best it will be healing with no threat.
Yeah. That's what I said.

I dont' understand your question, why dont you just try? There's no Druid Monster coming to take you if you choose "wrong".
There should be a Druid Monster who takes care of ebayers tho.

Bear in mind that eBay is not the only way to get a character you didn't level up yourself. If a friend stopped playing the game and offered me use of their t6 character, I would accept without hesitation. And I'd probably come to the class forums to ask a few questions.

It's very nice guide, but I believe You should recalculate your spirit vs mp5 section - in 2.4 spirit based regen depends on how much intelect you have and if formulas at wowwiki are correct when you have 459 intellect you gain 1mp5 from 1 spirit.
So with 459 intellect and 400 spirit (which are easy to get with just Kara lvl gear) you have 400 regen out of FSR and 120 in FSR.
Together with boosting healing when in tree i believe spirit is now far superior to mp5 for druids.
