Is the premium available to UK based members?
I believe so.

To many, Randomness is the sole reason to post on Wowhead. Not everyone on Wowhead plays WoW. Thus, they do not participate in WoW-related forums, thus, they migrate to the randomness.
Take MyTie for example.
I stopped playing WoW a little while ago, and don't participate in the other forums that I used to, except for randomness. I like it because there are sometimes good debate topics or other such discussion type things to talk about. Plus if I'm bored enough I can always play the forum games... or make a thread... Joke, joke, joke...
Even you have to admit that randomness is getting... well.... it leaves room for improvement, and that room is growing.

But the argument is completely inconsistent. You can't claim "The users make the website great", including yourself in the "Maybe they owe
me
something", when what you in fact contribute is just a bunch of flamebait topics on an off-topic section of the website.
Indeed, maybe Wowhead Premium isn't for you. That means you have no authority to make a judgement as to its "Worth", or, at least, no authority to post a topic about it expecting it to have any weight; you also have no authority to judge others who feel that it
is
worth it, if only for the sole reason to support the website. There could be thousands of Wowhead users who don't even use the forums, thereby not benefitting from a large section of the perks, yet may still decide they wish to donate something to the website to help keep it running.
And now I will stop feeding your massive ego, MyTie. Enjoy being a miser. May your cold logic keep you warm at night.
The topic isn't cut and dry, you're right. I don't have authority, you're right. Also, I don't know what my ego has to do with it.
I think this is a worthwhile discussion.

The only thing that's worth paying money for is the removal of the captcha... everything else (special icons, borders, a badge!) is just like a sign saying "hey, I paid money for this for some reason!". It just doesn't seem like upgrading to premium would make any noticeable difference, so Laihendi won't do it.

None of that matters to me either. What matters is the principle of the matter. I will give my money to wowhead, if I am satisfied with thier product.

Or you can just give them money by looking at all the pretty ads.

If the site were to make some lasting improvements to the randomness forums, I would not only buy premium service, but I would donate additional money... perhaps buy other users premium service so that it would encourage more users to get it...

So are they doing this because they need money that badly?
It doesn't seem like it would make much.

It might. It's a gamble, but what do they have to lose? It has worked for other websites.

Kinda like buying the table a round after hitting it big on a craps table.
Like eating at a resteraunt that was so delicous, I wanted to share it with my friends, and get them to come, and thier friends, and I was so impressed, I put down a tip, and encouraged my friends to also.
Randomness could be that resteraunt. It's like 4chan without the stupidity.

I think it's a nice little addition, nothing that gives anyone anything special, and if you wanna help out wowhead, you can.
The site is free, and does give us a lot, so it's nice to give back a little.

Agreed.
I am still in limbo... figureing it out in my head.
