I'm not sure at what point a Mutilate rogue should perform Rupture-less cycles simply because I'm currently playing as Combat. As for gemming, yes, AP would be optimal unless you decide to cap your expertise for cycle stability. That said, if you are dropping Ruptures, a dodged Envenom wouldn't hurt as much as it did before, simply because you would surely land an Envenom in the next 23 seconds.

From what I've been able to glean off EJ, once you have 4pc T9.245 and a few off-set bits (rings, trinkets, etc) with ArPen on them, you can consider dropping Rupture.
It's all still in the world of theorycraft though at this stage.
ION: i've accidentally destroyed all my Old offhand daggers so can't mess about with Weapon-Swapping Mutilate. fail :(
ArP? Armill isn't talking about Combat spec, he's talking about Mutilate spec and spamming Envenom as your finisher.
