Poe's Law -
Without a winking smiley or some other obvious indicator of humor, it is impossible to parody Fundamentalism without someone thinking that you're being serious.
I actually know Nathan Poe. :)

religion= hate (most of the time)
Please stop making crass statements like this.
Hatred is something intrinsic to the person, religion is something extrinsic.
I don't care what anyone here believes, whatever it is more power to you; but I
won't
let people make blatantly subjective statements like this about what I believe.

Have you even read a Christwire article? I don't blame people for getting @#$%ed off.
And Joang's comment said:
(most of the time)
Which makes his statement incredibly broad.
It's still a generalization. I'd get flamed to hell if I went around saying that is less intelligent/whatever than whites. There is no scientific way to measure religion or hatred so don't make those statements.

Maybe I misunderstood him, but from what I could tell, he was saying that overall in history, major religions have been filled with hate for people who don't believe the same things they do. He never specified a certain religion or anything like that. just saying that in general, in the past(and present), many religions are hateful. I should clerify what I mean, no, the religion itself is not hateful, a majority(in some cases, minority in others) of people who follow religions are hateful to those who follow other religions or none at all.

I'm saying no no no. I'm guessing you're one of the people who believes that the majority of Muslims hate non-musilim. That is so far from true, not only with them, but with pretty much every other religion (minus the few cults that are in to that sort of thing).
People
hate. And some of those people belong to religions. That in no way makes the religion a hate religion.

No, I know that in the modern world it's an extremist thing that defiantly does NOT constitute a majority. But in the past religions have been filled with and based on people who hate others who believe something else.
I know that out of all the major world religions that Islam is, based on the actual religion, one of the most peaceful and tolerant religions.
You may note that when I said "majority" it is immediately followed by "in some cases". and that in the sentence before that I said "in the past"

People doesn't even come into the equation: Religion = Hatred
Yes, I just said that people
do
hate. Are you agreeing with me?
I'm saying that equation is wrong, no matter what caveats you put after it.

Hyper, you are right and wrong. The reason I say that is because in some cases the hatred was created by people either taking scripture(which was written by men) literally or to the extreme.

You keeps saying "in some cases" which doesn't exactly match up with the "Religion = hatred" that you advocate. You can say "Bobism = hate" if that is true and I wouldn't care. "Religion = hatred" is a universal statement...something in the very definition of religion lends it towards hatred.
