Lower dispersion cd + glyphed + better vt dispel damage really helped shadow out a lot, and with top gear can put out quite a bit of burst. Shadow is viable in arena now and has some good options for both 3's and 5's. (less for 2's but still some good comps)
In bgs i completely destroy as shadow, especially pve heroes (lol 7k mb) and usually go top 3 or so in damage.

usually i vt -> pain then mb + sw:d + rocket gloves + death proc. vt and swp tick at the same time md and sw:d hit so its pretty retarded burst :D

i advise u to put vt last so it can 'protect' your dots
not really. First, vampiric touch IS a dot. second, Dispelling order is completely random, first or last dot do not matter.

Plus, if it gets dispelled, they take damage.

They will take a lot more if they don't dispel it. Particularly if it is a priest, that can dispel 2 debuffs at once. UA is very dangerous because on top of the (higher) dispel damage of VT they'll be shut up of 5s, enough to refresh all DoTs and set burst direct spells. VT isn't really that dangerous.

LOL... Lead damage meters in AV.. the most PvE of the BG's (heck there are times you win AV without a single honor kill)
Any spec of any class can work in BG's.. you get to fight against sucky undergeared players without too much skill.
You won one arena game as a spriest? wow.. 1 game.. impressive :) Tell ya what, if just one Spriest makes it onto the top 100 list during the next season, I'll say they are "arguably viable".. if 10 make it.. then they should never QQ again... but since a Spriest hasn't been on a top 100 list for a few seasons, I won't hold my breath.
Can you pvp as a Spriest.. YES! And if you feel powerful.. more power too you. Obviously you haven't tried any of the other classes.
By concept the spriest has some cool abilities.. in reality.. they aren't nearly as cool as you think in the "World of Stuncraft".
Luckily they have the "World of Darkness." Namely, Dispersion. They've improved, and though they aren't a FotM class, they definately aren't the clunky pieces of junk they used to be. You could definately get upwards of 2.2k rating though with one, and I'm sure a well played one with a good team could get to top 100.
And FYI Special, please read. He said he was a disc priest/rogue, not playing as a shadowpriest. Easy on the flame trigger there.

There WERE shadow priests above 2200 rating in the last season (Won't count 7 because it just begun). And not exactly one.

No, we aren't the strongest. But impossible? Never. I hate to say this kind of statements, but this situation calls for it... L2play.
EDIT: FFS stop listing SK top 100 as a list of "viable/best" classes/specs. SK 100 lists the 100 best players. Even with the best combo, they list the best OF THE BEST. They are a measure of skill - but if you want solid statistics, it is NOT a way of checking it. Not only 100 teams reached 2000+ ratings.
