Actually blizz have said that they love the story about thrall and his struggle so i really doubt that they would somehow make him any less important.
And why the $%^& is saurfang anyway? i never came across this name in wc3 lore or in lv 1-70, and suddenly he is some super orc who can $%^& everyone up... why? :P

Wasn't Saurfang mentioned in rise of the horde? I can't remember the details..
anyway, he's the brother of brox, who is a major lore character.

looking forward to this. lore schmore, when i rolled troll it was not because i wanted to belong to a faction of friendly honorable nature loving pansies. Well, that the female troll model is rather attractive played part in it, but mainly bacause i wanted to play the game on the evil side.
Garrosh brings the evil back to the horde, im really looking forward to seeing red orcs back in Azeroth.
Maybe Kargath Bladefist as advicer to Garrosh? That would be cool.

Yeah see I think your in the minority of those who think the horde are 'evil' and play them thus.
The vast majority though see the horde as being of shards of grey, or the 'noble savage' as someone put it, which to me makes them more appealing them the alliances white wedding cake or xeno.

Excuse me but Kargath died 1 expansion ago. As a Fel orc. The sworn enemies of Garrosh's kind. The mag'har. Who escaped the "red pox".

Actually, isn't red pox what saved the existing Mag'har from becoming Fel Orcs? Also, in one of the quests, after killing Bladefist, they actually honor him, and talk about how he was a great fighter, and a great orc. If he didn't succumb to the demons, I would totally love him as an adviser.

IN CELEBRATION AND HONOR OF THE GREAT VICTORIES THE HORDE HAS AND WILL SECURE UNDER MY LEADERSHIP, WE ARE GOING TO BE RENAMING MANY OF OUR FINE CITIES AND TOWNS:
ORGRIMMAR SHALL NOW BE CALLED GARROMAR
HAMMERFALL IS NOW CALLED GARROSHIRE
THE CROSSROADS SHALL FOREVER BE KNOWN AS THE GARROSHROADS
ALL COMMON OBJECTS SHALL REFLECT THE SUPERIORITY OF THE HORDE. NO MORE REFERENCES TO THE ALLIANCE:
WESTFALL STEW SHALL HENCEFORTH BE KNOWN AS GARROSH GOULASH
STORMWIND BRIE IS NOW CALLED GARROSH GOUDA
DWARVEN SNOW BOOTS SHALL BE KNOWN AS GARROSHES
BLOOD AND THUNDER! LOK'TAR OGAR!
I love wow.com, they've had so many great Garrosh jokes lately.

I loved the Horde. Loved...
But they are no longer the Noble Savages they once were.
Under Garrosh, they will just become the same bloodthirsty beasts they were when they burst through the Dark Portal.
While I do not like Varians stance on the Horde, it is understandable considering all they did to him, especially after he pleaded with the other alliance kings not to murder every orc man, woman, and child. And this was after Garona had murdered his father. Only after more attempts on his life, (Garona again) The massacre at the Wrathgate by the High Apothecaries, and Garrosh attacking him at what was supposed to be a peaceful meeting to discuss Ulduar, did his patience and mercy finally run out.
Thrall was the savior of the Horde, the one who could lead them to being the truly great people he knew they could be. But alas, he has moved on to matters much more pressing, and left a childish warmonger in his stead.
Well I'll see to it that violent oaf doesn't get his way. I'll do whatever it takes to end his reign of ignorance and violence!
For the Alliance! Death to the false Orc king!
And what do you suppose all other true horde fans should do when faced with this? should they all just bend over, and transfer all there characters to the alliance side because of what Garrosh is doing?
I may hate Garrosh and blizzards attempt to inject more pointless warfair into the game, but I'm not so easily brought by whats happening. When you consider noble characters on the horde side like Thrall, Saurfang, Eitrigg, Rexxar, Cairne, Drek'thar, Vol'jin and others, it doesn't change face with the horde because one bastard son of the hordes greatest warrior taking the reins for a while.
You know perfectly well Garrosh will not maintain his place as leader for long, blizzard are intentionally making it appear that he is trying to drag the horde down into that place again.
My orc shaman is someone who would fight for a better world, instead of the senseless and bloody conflicts, he's also intelligent enough to know when and when not to fight.
I will not defend Garrosh if the alliance choose to kill him, he has simply brought shame to Groms sacrifice, and deserves to die for it. But I will not abandon the true horde and what it stands for. Even if there is a storm about to hit, there will be an outcome, and one we simply have to wait and see.

Its intresting, if not annoying, how blizzard put a complete spin on Garrosh's character in WOTLK and cataclysm, considering how when you first see him in Nagrand.. well..
You are an honorable <race>, <name>. You have done much for the Mag'har. No one could ever deny your service to my people. Alas, the time of the Mag'har is at an end. You have shown me, more than anything, that I am unfit to lead these people. My cursed blood runs too deep. I will not... I cannot become the second Hellscream to damn the orcs.
Please, <name>, return to the Greatmother and tell her what I have told you. I am too ashamed to see her... to look into her eyes.
He saying he is unfit to lead his own people, that he doesn't want to become the second hellscream that dammed his people.
Now look whats happened, the writers have put a complete spin on him and made him into exactly what he said he wouldn't become. Well his opinion of his father obviously changed, so it seems did his overall attitude to not daming the orcs a second time.
I can't help but think blizzard hired 2 different writing teams to do TBC lore and the WOTLK lore.
