I'm still on the theory that blizz is setting garrosh up to get killed or something equally wonderful.

As for the Horde falling apart, I'm sure there's some "unknown unknown" that will prove otherwise.
Well, I for one think that I'd would actually be really cool if the Horde was torn apart during Cataclysm. The races would still be "on the same side" but won't accept each other in the same way anymore, thus leading to Garrosh fall. At least I hope.

The difference is that the Alliances' fighting is occurring in-race. Jaina v. Varian = human v. human. Tyrande v. Fandral = night elf v. night elf. The races themselves are getting along fine at this point.
Horde meanwhile... Garrosh is literally kicking 3 of the races out of the Orcish capital, basically leaving the Trolls homeless. So essentially he's creating a "new" new Horde, with only the Orcs and Tauren involved... Garrosh is basically saying "Yea, I guess Trolls, Undead, and Blood Elves can join in the fighting... but don't get in my way, or else".
There's a big difference there.

Ah but what if you look at it from this perspective:
The Horde is in Turmoil all races very shakey with each other
and
now that they feel alone the forsaken may begin launching their own indevors
aka the extermination of life in Azeroth namely the humans of Stormwind, Before Cataclysm the Undead halted any full scale invasion becouse of Thralls truce with the alliance so now they may begin their own plague which has been perfected in northrend.
The Bloodelfs who before had diminished numbers may have a rebuilt population and power and now launch a regime to get more land and show the might of the Blood elfs.
Mean while the Alliance are rested they have no wraith or ambitions (Gnomes Night elfs dranei...) and are in the mindset of a time of peace
before the inevitable attacks from the raging Horde who now knows no law and has no bounderys or law
.
So who looks like they're going to pwn now?
So, you're basically admitting that the Horde will, in fact, be broken up (or, at the very least, the Undead will split/be more distant from the Horde).
Allow me to shoot down your "So who looks like they're going to pwn now?" statement.
1. Undead. If they do actually proceed in their endeavors to exterminate all life from Azeroth, why would they only focus on Humans? Are not Orcs, Elves, Tauren, Dwarves, etc, also living? If Undead do truly split from the Horde, they would feel no remorse in killing off any race. Therefore, the Horde would have just as much to worry about as the Alliance would. In fact, Putress already has attacked both Alliance and Horde, despite his race being a member of the Horde. Do you think the Undead would not attack the Horde once they were no longer a group? Strike one.
2. Blood Elves. That's merely speculation. Besides, all races would like more land and show off their own might. That right there should be strike two, but I'll keep elaborating. You say the Blood Elves will get more land. Generally, you start taking over land that is closest to your own. Not only is it easier to attack to gain the land, but easier to defend as well. So, what land
is
closest for them to take over? Yea... Plaguelands and Undead territory. Not exactly hotbeds for Alliance troops. So, again, more in-fighting between current Horde members and/or zombies in Northern Lordaeron. Nothing for the Alliance to worry about. Either Blood Elves wipe out Undead, Undead wipes out Blood Elves, or they both take a hit; either way, Horde loses something if they fight, while Alliance sits back and laughs. Strike two.
3. Raging Horde. You are assuming that the Horde is at full strength, when at the beginning of your post you said they were bickering and splintered? I fail to understand how the Horde is at full strength with all the in-fighting currently going on, both on a personal level (Garrosh v. Thrall) and interracial level (Garrosh v. practically every other Horde race). Also, refer to #1. If the Undead (or, at least some branch thereof) leave the Horde, the Horde has to fight battles on two different fronts, just like the Alliance. This does not even get into the attacks by Deathwing, Ragnaros, and anyone else. Strike three.
So, basically, no, the Horde will not "pwn Ally n00bs" come Cataclysm.
My opinion? Neither side gains a significant upper hand. Why would Blizz want one side to win? This is WARcraft, not "one side wins, no more war, game over".

And yet ppl still profess to Garrosh being a great leader, who would willingly disband the horde for his own ideals, break ties with allies, and make the horde smaller and weaker then it is now.
You understand why when someone says they think Garrosh will do good for the horde, I go on the offensive against them.
