"Light help me," he said to himself, raising his finger to his mouth, motioning to keep silent. He crept back against a large crystal, the mountain and hills hiding and keeping them in the shadows.
He used his goggles to see through the thick crystal, revealing a massive beast walking towards them.

"More? Kale, if we hope to crush Thrallmar and then the Legion base north of it afterwards we're going to need at the warriors we can get."
He thought for a moment. "However, I think there's a rather large corpse within the basement of Citadel formerally known as Hellfire you can use. Provided you can find a head for it."

Alexxa looked at Anrein with a curious expression. But then had to focus on not screaming as footsteps as loud as thundering battlehorns shook the ground like an earthquake.

Anrein knew they couldn't fight a son of Gruul, they would easily get crushed.
"Stay back, this thing will be able to smell us..," Anrein muttered, knowing what choice he had left.
"When I say run, do it," Anrein said, preparing to execute his plan.

"Run!" Anrein shouted, pointing to the north. He sprinted to the west though, the massive beast spotting him and chasing him now.
"Please let this work," he muttered, still running as fast as he could while the beast caught up to him.

Alexxa nodded, channeling her energy and teleporting northward. She landed just behind the Son of Gruul, dodging the foot that came down as it ran after Anrein. However, knowing she'd mess up whatever that human had up his sleeve, she kept running until she hit a decent sheltered point in the spiky mountain side where she wouldn't be spotted.

"Why is that mongrels palace ao far away!" Gazzeridan mumbled to himself, many demons staring in awe. Finally, he had reached the Black Temple. Gazzeridan made his way through, as he saw thousands of acolytes channeling fel energy into a bunch of large boulders, the left over from the once great Supremus. Gazzeridan chuckled to himself. "Where are you, you idiot?" he bellowed out.

Anrein was loosing the race fast, though reaching to his glove. He hit it and a panel flipped open, a series of sensors in it. He pushed a button and tried to use the proto-type rocket boots he had made only a few days earlier.

The boots didn't work.
"Oh no," he said, seeing a massive hand come down to smash him.

Alexxa watched Anrein.
What is he doing?
The Son of Gruul's hand was coming down on him..! She had to do something.
"You better be thankful for this..." She channeled a long ranged spell to attempt to teleport Anrein, putting everything she possibly could into it to make it work as fast as possible.

"Very well," Morec said, pointing Bloodfester towards Deathfire Citadel. "We move our base of operations there. And then, after we have raised the corpses in that place to our service, we march for Thrallmar."

Anrein raised his hands in futile defense against the massive beast, waiting for his demise.
"At least no one else got hurt..," Anrein said, waiting for the hand to crush him.

"What?" he said to himself, opening his eyes again. He saw the high elf next to him now, the beast gone.
"What happened?" he asked, confused now.

Alexxa placed her hands on her knees and took a deep breath. She watched in the distance as the beast leaned for nothing, falling flat on his face as it desperately tried to find the prey that was right in front of it before. "It'll be a bit before that thing gets on its feet again..."
She turned to Anrein, "Magic." She grinned at him.

Anrein sat on the ground, panting heavily and simply laughing.
"Thanks," Anrein said, "I guess I owe you one now," he said, still shocked he was alive.

"It's nothing. I didn't think it was proper to let you get killed by a Gron after having survived crashing a flying machine." Alexxa snickered, sitting down next to him.

"Yea, but if you did let me die, then you wouldn't have to deal with me eh?" Anrein said, taking out a flask of water and gulping some of it down.
"Need some water?" he asked, holding out the flask.

"I think I need you more than you need me." Alexxa chuckled, taking the water flask, "Thank you." She mumbled before taking a few drinks and handing it back.

"Fun stuff," Areon muttered, slowly getting up.
"I'll look ahead to see if our path is clear, once it is we should be able to go, last thing we need to do is be here by nightfall, which is in about an hour," Anrein said.
