Aye, age doesn't make much difference, after all, Jaina is only a few years younger then Varian. I'd still rather the Death Knight's went to faction leaders then just one person, would make it more interesting, even in the case of the Darkspear trolls, give Vol'jin something to do.
Aside from the capital leaders, we have minor ones, like Benedictas, leader of the Alliance's Church of the Holy Light, Frandral Staghem, leader of the Cenarion Circle, Vereesa, leader of the Silver Convent, Brann, leader of the Explorers Legue, and Danath, leader of all Alliance forces in Outland.Minor ones? Might want to do more research; Church of the Light has been around since before Varian was born. Staghem and Tyrande rule the Night Elves while Malfurion is asleep. The Explorers league has been all across Azeroth, Outland and Northrend, with their leader learning the secrets of the past. Danath is the remains of the Alliance Expedition, which was a major power factor. And Vereesa, for being a sue, is still the head of most of the High Elves of the Kirin Tor.

And Alliance Expedition takes orders from who ever is assassingned to them.. And Danath is the commander of them, taking over for the lost Turaylon. If he returns to Azeroth, the first place he would go would probably be Ironforge, as Magni was one of those who sent the expedition off, as Lordaeron and the High Elves are gone.

The expeditionary forces were led by:
* Archmage Khadgar of Dalaran.
* Turalyon, paladin of the Silver Hand, Supreme Commander.
* Ranger Captain Alleria Windrunner of Quel'Thalas, Lead Scout and Intelligence Agent.
* Kurdran Wildhammer of Aerie Peak, Commander of the Gryphon Rider Division.
* Stromgarde Militia Captain Danath Trollbane, Force Commander and Tactical Advisor. Well, guess they were all co-leaders, and I guess with Turalyon missing, possibly Danath would step up. But the other stuff I said works as well.

I know. The Church of Light is a fraction with-in a fraction, and the Alliance did not exist back then. The Church of the Holy Light, despite being based in Stormwind, is not Alliance-only.

Considering that the leader of the Organization yells "Sacriledge! Defend the Cathedral!" if any Horde approach him, I'd say that it is.

Anyone can follow the path of the Holy Light, and anyone who follows the Holy Light is welcomed by the Church. Most of its members are human, but the Church does not discriminate. High elves and Ironforge dwarves have long been members; other races are welcome

Considering the Church has no presence at all in Horde society, it would be difficult for a Horde citizen to be a member of the church and still remain within the Horde; I suspect that most would join the Argent Crusade or something similar.

First sentence of the original quote.
You would probably not be expelled from the Horde because of your religious beliefs.

Even the Blood Knights(Paladins) are starting to swing around the other way.

No, but you wouldn't be able to be a member of the institution "The Church of the Holy Light" as that is primarily an Alliance institution.

Can hold belief in the Holy Light (Although I personally think that it's a fairly shallow thing as far as Blood Knights go, considering they still have a quest to go and take a dump in the Holy Water in Stratholme) but they are not members of the Church of the Holy Light.

He proves Trolls can connect to the Light as well.

How can you say so? The sunwell was revitalized and it seems most blood elves are returning to their faith in the Light. Their race was always part of the Church.

I think that you guys are having a problem distinguishing between the faith and the institution. The faith can be followed by any race. The *institution* ie. the folks in the Cathedral in Stormwind, are Alliance, and has a presence within various neutral factions, such as the Argent Crusade. However, I have not seen a single shred of evidence that the institution is present in any Horde society.
Blood Elf Priests may follow the faith of the Holy Light, but are not members of the Church. Same deal with Blood Elf Paladins (Although like I said, I'm skeptical about their faith; what with "seal of corruption" and their Charger quest whose purpose is specifically to spit on the church of the holy light.)
I think that this is just a symptom of Horde going "Hey, this aspect of Alliance lore is really cool. I think I'm going to come up with some way to connect it to Horde so that I can take part in it without rerolling!"
