Arena is a joke, especially when a team can
reach a 3000 rating through fraud.
It in no way can be something to measure 'skill'. Many nerfs have been done to classes as well to make arena more 'balanced'. It was a failure from launch, imo.

As a player who only PvP's I'm a little discouraged that Blizz would admit this publically and it makes me wonder what is the future state of highend PvP in WoW.
I didnt know that fighting FoTM classes in a death box was high end pvp. Hopefully with rated battlegrounds they will finally get rid of Arena and focus more on BGs.

Your ignorance is pathetic
Why? It's a flawed system that Blizzard has taken way too seriously, and now they're seeing the error of their ways. Of course, it's more competitive and organized than battlegrounds but it still was a poor choice.
"We didn't engineer the game and classes and balance around it, we just added it on, so it continues to be very difficult to balance. Is WoW a PvE cooperative game, or a competitive PvP game? There's constant pressure on the class balance team, there's pressure on the game itself, and a lot of times players who don't PvP don't understand why their classes are changing. I don't think we ever foresaw how much tuning and tweaking we'd have to do to balance it in that direction. "
Why do you think druids got their heals nerfed? Because XxshifterxX was overhealing his tank by 9000? No, because of Arena QQ...that's just an example. It's rediculous. Your little ignorance post seems to have backfired a bit. I bet you didn't even read that article.

This game is at the end of it's reign.....
I love arena. I hate that some classes have more control than others, and is where all the QQ comes from in arena.
1 amazingly skilled and geared rogue with X dps class + Y healer(one of which can purge, spell steal, or dispel offensively) goes instantly to 2300+. The same goes for a frost mage and now ele sham or destro lock. Combine said rogue with said other classes and it's amazing the effect of how powerful they are.
That's where the imbalance comes from. X can control Y indefinitely. Y can control Z indefinitely. Z powns A and B QQ's in the corner with a razor in his hand.
Removing class differences would ruin the game. The amount of CC from 4 unnamed classes causes unbalance. The implimentation of "100% crit" abilities gave 3 classes huge advantages since these "100% crit" abilities hit for 1/3 to 1/2 of someone's HP.
You can't aim for the awe inspiring "Head shot" or "kill shot", so RNG of a % based game causes people to have balance issues as well.
All this leads to QQ.
There will never be balance in arena. The larger the bracket, the more of X+Y uber control classes or guaranteed crit classes you can stack on a team.
What is the main issue? Everyone expects to have the same DPS in raid. So, people with control do too much damage, and people who lack control don't do enough.

Blizzard probably should of just added a 'Arena' realm type, like PvE/PvP only for Arena characters and changes.
