this thread:
full of carebears who can't preform in arenas therefor protect their egos by bashing them as ineffective
I also found it hilarious that so many people to an
editors headline
and take it as gospel.
Read the
real
interview
, Pardo never says that it was a mistake. He merely states how much a headache class balancing with arenas in mind has been. Which is understandable.
Keep griefing, blizz will never do away with arenas (rated included) and you will always get trolled for that poor arena rating when you QQ about
<insert PvP related issue here>
Arenas will always have some balancing issues, all aspects of the game will, and for now they remain the most effective way to judge an individual players skill
We really never designed WoW to be a competitive e-sports game; it was something that we decided to start tackling because there was such a desire and demand to evolve it in that direction, to introduce competitive arenas.
I'm not sure that that was the right thing to do with the game
.

I'm too lazy to find the exact post to quote it, but I think someone said something about how they don't tell people that they play WoW IRL because of all the geeky PvE'ers...if no one has yet, let me be the first to say...
REALLY?
How is fighting other virtual avatars with your own any less embarrassing to admit? Honestly, and this is coming from someone who listened to his friends talk about WoW a lot before he started playing, it's much less embarrassing to hear
"Me and 24 other guys spent a few hours killing this virtual boss that required _____ strategy. It took us a while, but we got it."
than
"Me and 1/2/4 other people killed 2/3/5 other guys' virtual characters. But it took skill, trust me."
It's even worse if they say they went 50-21 or something, which almost makes it sound like a sport.
In addition, you are posting comments ABOUT said the game you are embarrassed to admit you play because of OTHER people in an online forum. I don't even know what to say.

I don't care about BGs and arena so much. I'm more interested in world PvP. WG is fun, but they need to add more world PvP. It's just more fun to fight in epic battles with people on your realm than fighting strangers in BGs and arena.

goshadstep2lose...I don't know why you care so much about online forums, but seriously, you're embarrassing yourself just as much.
