There is a guy on my server who was always making an ass of himself. He was in the best Alliance raid guild, and was a decent player (not great, but oh well). A new hunter joined and started getting invited to raids more because,
le gasp
, he was actually better.
The first hunter (henceforth "huntard" for brevity's sake) QQed his pants and /gquit. He then created an epic post on the realm forums - on an alt - about how the guild lost their best huntard and the new guy was half the man he was. Everybody in the guild and dozens of others from other raid guilds took the opportunity to flame him. It's about to get a little confusing now, so hang on...
He then created another post, supposedly from a RL friend, stating that the huntard had died. He took the forum by surprise and the trolls were momentarily confused. However, after faking his death, the huntard
blew his own cover
by revealing his genius plan to a guy in a different guild. This guy then took screenshots of the conversation and posted them. So then everybody hated the huntard even more, and he was only ever able to join scrub guilds afterward. The people that have been on the raid scene for a few years know to avoid him.
Whenever I come across this particular huntard - whether it be in trade, a pug raid, or just randomly while doing dailies - I will be rude and flame him unmercifully. I can be snippy at times, but I am extremely rude to this guy. I think he deserves it.

People who post insanely valuable items up on the neutral AH for 1 copper trying to transfer it, then whisper you all sorts of flames after you swipe it because they were the ones dumb enough to put an item worth 2000g into the very first spot on the top of the AH where anybody who clicks search can see it.
Yea, I'm mean that way ^_^
I don't tend to be rude back though, it's not worth it. Just walked away with 2000g afterall. It's always fun though to hear them threaten to report me, considering there's absolutely nothing a GM will do about it.

People that don't write proper English. Spelling mistakes, punctuation, all that is fine, even internet abbreviations as "u" are fine, but when you write some kind of ridiculous fragmented sentence that makes no sense whatsoever because you obviously don't have the time or effort to speak to me like a human being I will go out of my way to write a smart-ass reply EVERY TIME.

I have pretty much given up faith in humanity being kind.

Anyone over level 50 following me around begging for gold.
I can understand that a complete WoW noob might not understand how tradeskilling and the Ah works, but by 50, you should have SOME idea.
I actually had a 68 follow me from Dalaran, through the portal to Shattrath, on the FP to Shadowmoon Valley, and to the Netherwing daily area spamming "Can I has 58 g for my Epics flight tranning?" (his exact spelling). Finally I whispered back, "You're a bleeping DK, go run some of the Old World dungeons, sell off all the greens and cloth, and you'll get your bleeping 58 g. You just wasted the time it would take you to run one wing of Scarlet Monastary begging me for gold no one in their right mind will give you, now bleep off!"
This will always and forever push my buttons.

People with ingame girlfriends
I'm curious as to why this drives you to be rude. Mainly because my fiancé played with me for awhile and my guild has a few couples that play.

Getting offended if you don't say grats to an achievement or ding, that's not important or impressive, or a 10th level (10, 20, 30, 40....70, 80).
We are playing, and don't have time to say grats to everything.
One of my previous guilds used to have a rule that you had to get an addon that says grats to everything, and says hello whenever someone comes online. It got really annoying, really fast. The guild also sucked and couldnt even do a good naxx10 run (no joke). They would always do BC raids, and those failed too. I only stayed in the guild cus one of my friends was in the guild and i wasnt 80 yet. One night we were in SSC, i fished up The Lurker Below and wiped the raid :) after that i quit the guild. After i hit 80 i transferred that toon to my main's realm.
