I would ask him/her if he/she's nice satanist (who believe that some guy, I don't remember who),
or bad satanist (someone who dresses in black, listens to black metal, burns churches and kills animals).
I'd stay away from the latter one.
Derp, I really wish people would read my posts.
How simple is it to surmise that you should stay away from adolescent Satanists? They don't know what it means at all.

Most 'satanists' are just those who have chosen something to seem evil and violent... when they don't really prescribe to the actual ideals and thoughts of the religion or whatever you want to call it. They choose it because it's something they can throw in their parent's faces and seem evil.
The so-called 'true satanist' don't run around proclaiming what they are.

Let me define it better, I am talking about someone who worships an evil deity and follows its teachings simply out of spite for humanity and is bent on being as evil as is possible.
Evil is a relative term. To a pro-choice, an abortion is simply a tool. To a pro-life, an abortion is 'evil'. Is either right? That's for other places and other times. This type of looking at both sides can be generalized to more extreme cases: War is an evil to some but a tool to others. Do we call those who use war as a tool evil?...
Satanism has within it some things in it which might generally be called evil, but from my wiki-research, most Satanists do not worship an evil deity, nor do they live to spite humanity. Their goal is the same as yours or mine: live life in the way they believe they should.
You're going to be hardpressed to find such a religion, anyway. I don't even think such exists in fiction...

Perhaps the Cult of Set in the Conan series? Although I haven't researched it, this just stood out in my mind when I read that statement.
It is hypothetical as in most satanic religions he is used merely as a symbol , evil in this context being causing the most negative impact possible on the most people possible.
Well in this case, the religion that the person worships wouldn't be called into question at that particular time, but their motives and what they are doing at that particular moment. It seems like you're more describing a terrorist than a Satanist.

But in this case, the person does it within the bounds of the law.
Does what?
Is the person sacrificing someone to Satan at the particular time? What exactly are we supposed to react to, other than simply finding out the person is a Satanist?
In just finding out the person is a Satanist, it does nothing to affect my opinion of them. What deity a person chooses to worship has no bearing on how I would react to meeting them.
Perhaps you should state your own reaction, so that we can have a better idea of the kind of feedback you'd like from us.

And how does that relate to Satanism?

Ahh, but sadly
some
claim I am asking for support when I state my opinion or even hint at it so no,
Let me define it in a much better way.
You met a person and found out that he worships a deity that call on him to do the most possible harm to the most people for the longest time possible, to fulfill the last point he does his doings in the bounds of the law, he bothers people as much as possible, hurling insults to everyone, cutting people of on the highway for no reason, in other-words he is the ultimate sadistic person, how do you react to him for his doing, not necessarily his religion, but simply on the basis that he is damaging to society.
Well, now that we know exactly what you're asking, I think you'd be much safer in stating your own opinion.
That being said:
If the person is abducting people outside of his or her religion, or those inside that are unwilling and harming them as much as possible for as long as possible, the person is committing a crime. If they are purposefully driving recklessly, and causing public disturbance, they are also breaking the law, because they are infringing upon the freedoms and safety of others.
I would do all within my power to bring the attention of the authorities to this person, provided I know the person is doing all of this beforehand.
But, one does not have to be a Satanist to do all of this.

Satanism; the so-called real Satanism anyways, is meant to call on the power of the 'Dark Lord' and use it to 'better' your life. However, to get his favour, your suppose to sacrifice things in his name (living children/young adults is best) or do something equally vicious and cruel.
During the early 20th century, Crowly set himself up as a 'Satanist' , though in reality, all his people did was orgy all night long in the bottom of church's that they 'desecrated'(ie; bought off the priest/local constables with money) by turning the cross upside down.
As I said before; a 'real' Satanist isn't going to run around yelling at the top of his lungs "Look at me! I worship the Devil/Baal/Set/insert evil deity name here!"

I didn't state that it is a necessity that to do those thing one need to be a satanist, Yes those people are jerks but what if they took it to an extreme? cut on you on the lane and cause and accident on purpose etc....
Wouldn't make them Satanist though.... that's the problem with your hypothesis; you seem to think any 'evil' action = devil worship, but that's not how it goes. They don't just randomly kill people or cause bad feelings, it's all about rituals and designs. Look at the Road Ragers, which falls under your idea, those people come from all walks of life; from the southern Bible thumping baptist to the neo-pagan hippie chick.
