Thanks to little whiners like OP, Rotface's HP was lowered by 10% in 10-man encounter. It took total of 3 days for first nerf of new boss. I really think that Blizz should soon just implement a big button next to boss (like the one for Mimiron) that raid can press and boss will just give out all the loot without fight.
"Quick, man the guns because OP asked if the fight was overtuned!"
I didn't whine, I even said we couldn't reach farther than the first three phases on festergut and asked if anyone had the same problems. How does that mean that they *must* nerf the bosse's HP I do *not* know.
If everyone had said that they had difficulty but overcame them on the boss I would have come to conclusion that we sucked, but clearly that's not the case since mostly everyone replying that the fight was med difficulty l2p was in 245+ gear, thus overgearing the damn place. Or had the "pro" healing combo (tree druid, pally, priest).
tl;dr: you're so pro Gesha *rolls eyes*
I guess we will keep trying at them. Saurfang seemed pretty hard to start too (compared the three first), but now we do it at barely one mark.

By the way, there are already plenty of guilds who have done all the 3 new bosses in 10 and 25 man - that indicates fairly low difficulty. Ensidia 1-shotted 25-man professor - I think that says something about easiness of encounter.
Ensidia most likely downed Putricide on the PTR, so this hardly comes as a surprise.

I really enjoy the fact that blizzard make the first wing faceroll, and the second wing extremely hard. It's like a trick, punching PuG gear collectors in the face.
Now, is it too hard? Is it fair for the guilds who work hard for progression, but still fail? No. This is where the sunwell buff comes in. Blizzard will apply a raid-wide buff as the ashen verdict proceeds further into Icecrown. This buff will be like the Sunwell Plateu buff, making it progressivly easier each week. This way, elitists can really show off their skills not only through achievements and guild milestones, but also through gear, like back in the old days. Weeks later, less competent guilds will follow, and eventually PuG's will be able to clear the instance.

But the enrage timer is too short for a
normal version
of an encounter. 7200 dps average? Insane.
What's the problem with 7200 dps? That's quite an achievable level of dps for a character in
full ilvl245 gear given 25-man buffs
. If you can't get all dps to that level - keep wiping till they learn how to dps.
Gesha, once again, you're so cool.

I don't get why he's so cool. When you are doing progression raiding, you should be in pretty much full gear from the previous tier.
We killed Festergut just fine, with the majority of our DPS having between 245 and 250 average item level. That's not unexpected, given we've been running the first four bosses for 4 weeks. Many people in an Icecrown raid should have multiple 264 item level pieces by now.
And if you can't get it, either try harder and improve your execution, or come back next week when you have more gear.
