Hello, so I finally got my hands on two pieces of T10 set (I went for the 95 EoF ones) and had the right to try the powerfull combo of
/cast Divine Illumination
/cast Avenging Wrath
/cast Divine Favor
/s Get ready for some heals now, folks!
(the last one is optional)
Spell: Holy Light (glyphed)
Well, the heal was unbuffed, so it landed for some
35k
. What totaly got me were the "little" heals from the glyph, which were supposed to heal ppl around for
3,5k
.
Well, they didnt. I rarely use AW without DP, and if I do its in the middle of the raidboss fight where I just dont pay attention to whats exactly happens to my heals... so I didnt expect anything.
Guys, its stacks. STACKS A LOT.
The bonus from AW (20%) and DI (35%) + some minor bonuses from aura (6%) and divinity (5%) increased the glyph heal for a total of
6,8k
heal per player. And
7,1k
to me... and a random passer-by who turned to be a prot paladin (heh, but lets put this aside).
Offseting DP is one thing, but 15 seconds of both uber tank and AoE raid heals which cost just 1/2 mana... thats a whole new dimension of healing. And if I imagine I was able to get pretty close to 35k heals just with AW in raids... oh god.
BIG NUMBARZ! For everyone.

You'd better hope you don't find yourself if need of AW later on in the fight. But if you don't that would be so
awesome.
I really want T10 now that I've seen the bonuses. I still think using two mana cooldowns which are for
exactly
opposite situations at the same time is a bad idea (DI and DP), though.

The 2 piece bonus is very nice. It gives you additional options for the use of Divine Illumination.
I would personally use it to fight through Divine Plea, but you can just as easily use it during a burst period like Festergut's third Inhale Blight.
Also, just to warn you folks. Pulle is back as a new account. dulle33

Divine Illumination is still a mana saving cooldown. I think the set bonus is perfect for use during bursts of any scale, and it'll hopefully push people from constant Holy Light spam, like Blizzard intends it to do. (This is meant to make DI a very nice cooldown for burst phases you'd normally use Holy Light for.) Every set bonus since t7 has ignored Holy Light completely, the new ICC libram is suited for adaptive healing that looks for alternatives to Holy Light, and Blizzard slowly nerfed our key spam talents earlier in Wrath.
There's going to be a point where laying on your Holy Light key is exactly the mistake Blizzard wants you to make. I'm sure of it.

With pallys in my guild with 34k mana unbuffed and over 40k mana buffed I do not see how it would be possible to NOT spam holy light... Unless blizz is planning on making some boss fights over like... 20-30 mins long EACH, how would you justify paladins with over 45k mana raid buffed?

Without mana help (via Divine Plea, Innervate, mana potions, etc), with 45k mana you can spam maybe 2-3 minutes at most. Encounters average around 5 minutes.
With the 245 badge trinket, you could:
Wings + Plea
DI + Plea
Trinket + Plea
repeat for safer Pleas.

I'm one of those paladins with 34k+ mana, and no, it's still not possible on the scale you're saying it is. Even with "proper" (that's bull^&*!) cooldown "management" you're not going to be able to spam Holy Light for more than two minutes.
