Focus polymorph & counterspell? (& Q about petfreeze)

Wowhead I turn to you. Lurking here for a long time and I can't seem to find this one out on myself. My apologies if this has been posted already but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. I've picked up my mage again and after fixing my lovely UI with some help from you lot I only need some macros.
I've managed to find the petfreeze macro at ArenaJunkies:
#showtooltip Summon Water Elemental
/cast Summon Water Elemental
/click PetActionButton5
But I need to press my keybinding twice to get the freeze off. I vaguely remember only having to press it once. Replacing the '/click' command with '/cast Freeze' doesn't fix it either. If this is possible I'd love you to link me the proper macro.
Then there's counterspell and polymorph. I would like the spell to cast at the target when there's no focus target, but cast at the focus target when there's one present. I've tried
#showtooltip
/stopcasting
/cast Counterspell; Counterspell;
&
/cast Counterspell; Counterspell;
Replacing 'focustarget' with 'focus' has no effect. I'm pretty sure what I want is possible but I am confused because I can't find it on various websites so it's either patched or I'm terribly mistaken. Thanks in advance.

The first one is not possible./use

Not how it's currently written anyways:
#showtooltip
/cast Summon Water Elemental; Freeze

Reading comprehension, HF :).
/cast
@OP: You can add the stopcasting and the showtooltip into this one just fine, if you want them.

#showtooltip
/cast NameofpetFreeze
/cast Water Elemental
You will have to press twice to cast it. Cant be done with only one click, because the pet has to spawn before you can use it.

/cast Yes, but do you really think he meant that?
I've noticed people calling the focus "focus target", since it's natural to think of the focus as a second target.
Furthermore his "Replacing 'focustarget' with 'focus' has no effect." sentence led me to believe he is not really aware of the difference between the two.
Finally I don't see Counterspell as something you'd want to cast on someone's target, rather than some specific mob.

First of all, I thank every single one of you for thinking and helping me. I never would've figured these out myself because my knowledge doesn't go further than /cast, target=, stopcasting & showtooltip. I thank you for the quick and relevant responses and if it makes you feel any better I'd like to say you've improved my gameplay already.
I've tried:
/use
&
/cast
The second doesn't seem to work and I cannot figure out why.
EDIT: I think HighFive pointed out why it doesn't work.
I've only tried it hastily and it would cast Counterspell only on the target. But the first one works just fine. It does what I want so I guess that's a topic covered. I couldn't test it on the dummies but I assume if I replace "Counterspell" with "Polymorph" there wouldn't be any problems.
I also added #showtooltip & /stopcasting and I think it's going to serve me well.
As for the Freeze macro; I guess there's no help but using the macro twice. Thanks for making sure it is how it is. I have vague memories of pointing my mouse where I would like the Freeze, I used the macro and it would summon the pet and give me AoE pattern on the ground where my mouse was in one go. I'd only have to click on the ground and the ranged Frost Nova was used. Most likely I am forgetting the probable fact that I used it twice instead of once.
Once again, I thank all of you for helping me out.

Oh well, here's for taking people at their word versus figuring out what they really meant.

Question: Are you trying to test a FocusTarget macro on a Training Dummy?
In case you didn't know...focustarget = the Target the Focus currently has. So if you're focusing a Training Dummy, you'll be casting it on...well, yourself most likely. You'll need a second person to test this for you if you want a true FocusTarget macro.
1) /focus your friend who is attacking mob (target)
2) With frames empty, launch macro
3) ?
4) PROFIT!
You'll find healers use @focustarget macros a lot more than @focus macros to be honest. If you're assigned to CC someone during, say Champions 25 in ToC, that makes sense as a Mage to have it.

No.
Summon Water Elemental & Freeze both take up GCDs, what you're asking for is impossible. Yea, you're stuck pressing it twice, or keep the Elemental summoned and use it then.

Actually no pet abilities ever activate a GCD of yours. The problem is the fact that the second line is executed before your pet is summoned (thus no Freeze ability).
