DPS in heroics is sometimes (and usually) very different from raid DPS, with the stats you mentioned, you should be pulling more than 4k on the heroic dummy, and more than 5k on for example Koralon.
It all depends on how you've mastered your rotation etc, but more than 10k is a very real number (that I can't seem to achieve grrr), then again for rogues DPS will vary from bosses, even though I can top DPS on Marrowgar, I'll usually be doing a bit more than the tank in the add phase of LDeathwhisper.
Then again, doing around 3200 in 5mans is great, I remember when getting past 2k was OP...

Overall DPS in heroics is severely skewed by numbers on trash. Those numbers don't matter as much as those on bosses. In heroics you'll never pump out the numbers you will in a raid, on a raid boss. If you're not in a steady raiding guild, go pug VoA and check out your performance on Koralon.

DPS is pretty variable, prenerf i pulled 8k in a 5man H gundrak, with a pally druid and shaman for BL as Muti.
After nerf i pull 9k on fights like festergut and Saurfang when its all said and done, usually I'll spike to 11k when lust is burned early in the fight but that is just for 30 seconds or whatever. So those numbers are very real they just take gear and rotation skill.
