Typically, people will suggest using a combat spec to level quickly and easily as it is pretty easy to get decent swords from quest rewards and the burst damage is good for killing mobs quickly. You can find the spec in the stickies above and it will get you to 80 pretty well. Once you can use poisons, don't ever let poisons fade from your weapons and for leveling, typically people use wound/wound poison. That is wound on main hand, wound on off hand. Carry food for healing/buffs and buff agility if you can get it.
All the rest is for level 80 and not all that important. You will get there soon enough and by that time, you will have a far better idea of what you want to do with your rogue. Rogues are very gear and buff dependent but what you get from questing will do you well enough to get to 80 and get you through some heroics once there. Leveling a rogue takes some patience and thinking more than some other classes. Stealth is your friend, start fights from hiding, attack from behind and think about what and where you are so you don't aggro the whole zone. One on one, rogues do well in facing mobs of like level to quest, facing groups, the survival rate begins to drop very quickly. Most of that can be managed by thinking of how to pull groups and when and where to start the fight. Stealth means you get to control much of the fight, use it.
Hope this helps.

Go Subtlety. Its so much more fun/ safe due to massive (insane tbh premed/ambush/evis) burst and cooldown reductions of vanish / blind and also prep which can give you the emergency vanishes and blinds you need :)
just my 2 cents

Because it is based on weapon damage which is fairly low for daggers (are they not normalized, though?)
Also I am not familiar with the acronyms yet so I have a hard time figuring out what SnD, BF and AR are. ^^
Yes. Slice and dice, blade flurry, adrenaline rush.
