There's no set rotation for Feral DPS. It's all about managing priorities.
Flyv had a great piece on the how's and why's of Feral DPS.
EJ
is also a standard.
An example of an opener (for single target) I'd use would be:
Mangle, Rake, Savage Roar, Tiger's Fury, Shred to 4/5 CP, Rip. Then just watch the cooldowns, keeping Mangle, SR, and the bleeds up.
Edit: For those new to Feral DPS,
obligatory flowchart

There is no set rotation. You have several bleeds and buffs/debuffs you want to keep going at all times. A few things to note:
Mangle buffs all bleeds....
Savage Roar buffs all o everthing...
so it's important to get both of those going right away. It should also be noted that there is no reason to build up 5 combo points for Savage Roar. It doesn't make it stronger, only longer. So most druids will get a SR off ASAP, then refresh it with 2-3 combo point finishers. So here is a rough rotation:
--FFF as you are running in.
--Mangle first, always.
--Savage Roar next, so the rest of your attacks will be stronger.
--Rake
--Shred to 5 pts
--Rip
Refresh Mangle and Rake when needed and Shred the rest of the time.
Refresh SR and Rip when needed (Rip should be 5 combos), and Ferocious Bite ONLY when you have 5-7 sec left on BOTH SR and Rip. Tiger's Fury early and often, usually best for when you've just emptied your energy bar, and especially right before you Berserk.
Edit: I use Feral by Night addon... it's not perfect, but it will help you get into the groove of catDPS, which is one of the hardest DPS rotations in the game. Good luck to ya!

Surely the OP is a troll.
doubt it.
I just changed my off spec from boomkin to feral a couple days ago. i've read the stickies, read the posts on EJ. sure, it tells priority, but no real rotations are to be found (because it is not a rotation, but prioritizing) and yet there really should be an 'opener' posted for new kitties to work from. this will help me a ton as well. so go away :p

Ok in terms of the kitty rotation i remember a while back there was a post about using the rip idol (Idol of Worship - Increases periodic damage done by Rip by 21 per combo point), and it said that while using this will up your dps given that obv your rip will do a lot more damage but is it worth having to swap back from that and the Idol of Mutilation?
Been using it with swapping the idols around but during running around fights things just get a little too hectic
any feedback will be useful :)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but "in terms of the kitty rotation" is not the correct sentence to start your post, because the rip idol has nothing to do with it.
That said, Idol of Mutilation provides a 200 agi bonus. Agi gives a bonus to ALL your attacks. The rip idol just buffs rip. There's absolutely no reason to switch back to the naxx trinket.

They're telling there's no "rotation" but a priority list. Meaning at all cost, keep Savage Roar up. Whatever you start the rotation is not as important. Usually it's FF, Mangle, Rake, SR, TF Shred until 5 and Rip, then whatever floats the boat. Keeping SR, Mangle debuff, Rake, Rip are the high priority.
It gets complicated as Clearcast proc and crits can really change the flow. For instance if Mangle and rake crits you get a 4 CP SR at the start; that can help the flow of using your abilities and fitting in a FB. If they dont crit you get a tighter timer on SR. Same could be said of Clearcast.

ok, now be patient with me. i'm new to this ^^;
i'm a noob kitty but eager to learn. and i mean NOOB. when i respecced, i forgot to train. i then asked guild if cats had an aoe of some sort. about the entire guild did a '....' together and then i got spammed with one word : swipe. (i'm proud of the dps i managed to pull with several abilities at rank 1 and no swipe, but that's beside the point ^^;)
when is it better to swipe versus single target? with 3+ mobs? do you swipe as much as possible before swapping back to single target?
your advice is appreciated!
