kitty cow, I am hijacking this thread, Your needs have been met, I however want to pick a "fight" (read discussion) with frillydoom.
1)What are
Guardian Spirit
divine fury
,
Inspiriation
,
Improved healing
,
Empowered healing
to you? Cause to me they look like a bunch of spells that would really help a Tank healer by improving the tanks damage reduction, then reducing the cost on, and the coefficient of, and the casting time of the best single target heal in the game. Sure the GS is a bit awkward, but if glyphed it makes for a fairly convincing
Holy Tank healer
2) what changes did they make to seredipity? You could be completely right on this one however I just dont know what you are talking about.
3) while disc from the talent tree perspective looks like a Tank healing tree.... what it really is about is improve 2 spells PWS and Penance. These spells often do work on a tank to do great things, DK's especially love us. however as is realitively well known to disc priests is that we can raid heal by pushing out preventative shields. ( in my experience there are common trends: if a dps gets the agro dot for a sec they will take a hit, and if they take a hit for standing in the fire, they will take another hit by standing in the fire). and then using penance for a large heal on the dps.
This raid healing disc will gear and glyph very differently on average. Tank healing disc will need something near 20% haste to be good while a "mass bubble" disc will only need 6%, The tank healer will glyph the CD on penance down another 2 sec while the raid healer might instead glyph to reduce FH cost by 10%.
does disc have CoH? no, does holy have Penance? no, but both of those are a SINGLE talent point in those trees, and if you are only using a single talent point....well....

Well Disc is the "ppl that's taking burst dmg" healer and Holy are aoe healers.
Using Holy as tank healer is a waste of a healer, unless your guild doesn't have a good healer setup Holy should "never" be assigned to full time tank healing, although they're throughput is greater than Disc every Holy Priest knows that Greater Heal is probably the worst spell ever in WotLK
you crit 20k with him in Holy spec... so what? in Holy you should go to haste while Holy Palas crit almost 30k with Holy Light.
Holy have great AoE healing mechanics and should only be assigned to tank heal in encounters where the AoE healing is not that great enough (like Festergut when there's no gas) otherwise put them in AoE since they're still the best at it (shammy nerf ftw!)
Disc make good support healers not only to a tank but also to a person that's has some sort of debuff that gets a good amount of dmg (right now I recall Rotface, where since I'm assigned to chase people with the slime and healing them so they don't die to random #$%^ and the slime chaos lands our tries got a lot better 0,7% ftw! -.-), Disc can focus on multiple targets that are getting burst (not too big tough or they'll need help), if not just focus on tank stacking DA and other &*!@ to mitigate lots of dmg
Getting back to holy priests, if you've only one pally in raid and no Disc priest instead of moving yourself to tank healing just ask a druid to do it, they're very hybrid and will do better job supporting the holy pala than you'll ever do, ofc you can still help but focus more in AoE^^
