Question - Guild/Bank/Promotion
Return to board index

Hey.
I recently decided to transfer one of my characters to another server. Wanted to make a new one. Anyway, the important thing is that this character I'm going to transfer is my...well, I think the phrase the hep kids use is "bank toon". Complete with a guild bank.
So...I guess, here's what I'm trying to figure out. I don't want to just get rid of that three tab guild bank. Making a new guild is a bit of a chore, and, also, the money. So, what I'd like to do is give someone else (one of my other characters) the guild.
I am not certain how to go about this. I imagine it would be something like me inviting someone else, such as a friend with an unguilded alt, to my guild. Then, their alt would invite one of my characters to the guild, and I would then promote that character to guild master?
That seems right enough. I should point out, though, that I have no real experience with guilds, or anything like that. So...if anyone who has ever done this can chime in, I would be helpful for some feedback.
Also, when you want to promote someone in your guild, do you input a command or...oh...oh, wait...there's a guild tab, isn't there?
Well, on the guild tab, do you alts in the guild show up? Like, if JoeyNightElf and JoeyGnomey were the same person, and looking on the guild tab for JoeyGuildy, would both of their names show up? And you could just promote the other person to leader while they were offline?
Would appreciate any assistance.
Thanks.
Also, if this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move it. I haven't the foggiest where it belongs.

You are correct. You would invite a friend's character, give them enough privileges from the guild control tab to invite, they invite your other alt.
You log back to the guild master, and make the alt the GM. Yes, you can do this while that toon is offline.
No, alts from your account do not show up as alts unless you manually mark them as alts in guild note/officer note.
You can show offline members, and since your guild should only have 3 members, (your first character, your friend's alt, your second chracter) it should be simple.
