Player - Hello? What happened to Camp Taurajo?
More Experienced player - the Alliance took it.
Player - But...
Anyways Alliance had quite alot of ally only zones and now Horde wants a part of it too, just like ally are taking a part of the biggest place in Azeroth, the barrens.
What?
1000 Needles, Badlands, Swamp of Sorrows are all Horde only.
Alliance: Duskwood, and Redridge.

you missed out the part where barrens is ripped apart and the earth opens cracks in the ground with lava flowing through it.

Exactly, making that area of the Barrens even MORE barren, while the north Barrens will still be lush because of the druids.
What was your point there?

Right; which is why the zone is split in two; North and South, and probably why the regrowth doesn't spread farther south.

unfortunately, due to it's proximaty to the current horde base in ashenvale, and the fact that horde is pretty much completely owning ashenvale......I'd say that forest song will be destroyed by the horde : /.It's not
that
close to Splintertree, and it's secluded from the lumber camp. And it only seems to be confirmed that the Horde grabs the upper hand in Ashenvale. I'd say that it and Maestra's Post have the best chance of being "last holdout" areas (although both would have to become fortified towns rather quickly).
Besides, if they wipe it off the map, it'd be a bait-and-switch on Blizzard's part. Not to mention a dropped plotline.

Some of you are thinking way to hard about this.
"Ya guyz needz tah chill brah"
Really Untill Blizzard comfirms things stop assuming.
Its just land. Blizzard has to make the game balanced.
Horde will gain some Horde will lose some.
Alliance will gain some Alliance will lose some.
Horde <> Alliance

Actully, in terms of leadership, cataclysm couldn't be more unbalanced.
With the leadership how it stood in wotlk, the alliance and horde had it balanced.
The goodie toe shoes alliance were lead by a brutish, brash and warmongering leader.
The thuggish and often warlike horde were lead by a noble and honorable leader.
Ying and Yang, the balance was set, despite the sometimes warring intent the horde had it was kept in check with Thrall, and despite the alliances white washed walls and clean image, theres was shown up by Varian wanting to go t war. A dot of light in a dark place, a dot of black in a light place.
But. In putting Garrosh in the horde as its leader instead of thrall, you take away that bit of goodness the horde had, which was what kept them from there side turning dark. Thus an unbalance is made.
If its blizzards intent to make the horde into the bad guys again, and make the alliance appear as the goods guys, then they truly have lost the plot, and spat in the eye of writers like Christie Golden.

Why are we still going this route? With all respect, you haven't seen the entirety of who Garrosh is. You've seen a great deal of his faults, certainly, but people grow over time, and you may find, come Cataclysm, that he is not quite the disaster you portend. :)
To elaborate a little: I know the story. I understand what's going to happen and how things will work out. I don't see a fractured Horde at the end of it. My question to you was not necessarily seeking a literal answer, but asking why you believe we would fracture one of the core concepts of the Warcraft world at this point when it's quite clear we understand how core it is. It's not that we don't understand what we're doing, but that the playerbase doesn't understand how things will work out just yet.
You're working on very limited information, and I cannot fix that problem at this point. What I can do is counsel patience and ask you to trust that we do take these concerns into account.
I am not going to give hints on what will happen, but I will say this: we have no intention of removing all honor from the Horde and making them out to be a faction of pure evil. Thrall's honor, however, is not the only definition.
I will also say that while I have read a large number of rumors and speculation concerning what's to come, I haven't seen a single one that has the progresson of events or the reasons behind them correct. ;)
Let me put it this way: if things were going to turn out as badly as most of you are predicting, I wouldn't be here saying it won't.
I completely understand where you're coming from, as you're working with the information you have, most of which is what you've seen thus far in the game. I understand the concern based on that information.
However, my information is more complete. The common belief that the Horde will be under the Garrosh you dislike so much and take on his qualities is not going to come to pass.
I realize it's difficult, but relax. As I said before, we're not going to destroy the core of what makes the Horde interesting and compelling.
I think everyone needs to be a little more patient.

is
under the influence of a dreadlord right now (hey, it's been speculated) a second radical personality change on his part would be...well, kind of bad writing.
In other words, I suspect Blizzard is going to clumsily
attempt
to endear him to the Horde fanbase...and, for the most part, fail miserably. (Not entirely fail, however: Garrosh, disturbingly enough, already has his own fanboys.)
