I just recently leveled engineering to 450 on my main. I have all the gnomish and normal engineering recipes from the dalaran trainer but was wondering if there were any major or fun recipes I missed out on from specific quests, trainers, vendors.
I have Jeeves, the epic flyer from shadowmoon valley, and the mote extractor from zangermarsh. Anything I'm missing for engineering goodness?

Well I don't need EVERY recipe. I'm just asking fellow engineers what recipes they recommend I farm for. Anything cool will do :D

"Cool" is subjective. Read through the list and find ones that sound interesting to you.

hmm you didn't say anything about have the hog recipe so that would be one to get. Its a rep pattern.

He knows he can find all the recipe's if he looks (you'd better)
i just doubt he wants to find these, then look through the comments and try and decide if he wants to farm for it
Exactly. I'm just looking for other engineer suggestions :D people telling me that wowhead is a database aren't getting the point of this thread.

Forgot it was a rep pattern :D I have the recipe but not rich enough to make them for myself. Leveling engineering took like 8k- 9k gold from me :(

One assumes you have the
Gnomish Cloaking Device
? This is a must-have for PvP. And, it's fun to use around your friends. The schematic also sells for around 35-60G on the auction house on my server.
You can buy it cheaply, in the basement of a castle, in the mountains above Tarren Mill. (See the link)
Also, WOWwiki.com has
an excellent list of schematics
. Take a look.

Well, I'm not sure where I got everything, and I don't much care to look, but perhaps this could better be found with a "what's in your engineering bag" question. What do I have with me.
High Powered Flashlight (used for marking locations like elune stones)
MOLL-E (mailbox)
Gnomish Army Knife (all in one profession tool and jumper cables)
Dimensional Ripper - Area 52 (teleport)
Dimensional Ripper - Everlook (teleport)
Wormhole Generator: Northrend (teleport)
Ornate Spyglass (allows me to look far into the distance, deceptively useful)
Jeeves (my butler)
Runic Healing Injector x18 (a stack of extra powerful engineering potions)
Zapthrottle Mote Extractor (for collecting motes and crystallized elements).
Salt Shaker (I make eng pets so this is helpful for curing rugged hides if my target leatherworker doesn't have one. It does not bind).
Gnomish Cloaking Device (invisibility, it's like another vanish - only different).
Purple Smoke Flare x20 (for marking locations, like traps).
Red Smoke Flare x20 (same as above, goes in an eng bag but not craftable).
White Smoke Flare x20 (marking locations, white though).
Green Smoke Flare x20 (green variety).
Scrapbot Contstruction Kit x20 (for when we're really bad and need another repairbot when jeeves is on cd).
Explosive Decoy x16 (useful for pulling patrolling bosses unexpectedly).
Global Thermal Sapper Charge x91 (5 stacks) (big exploding goblin bombs. woo)
Saronite Bomb x125 (7 stacks) (your bread and butter dps bombs).
Cobalt Frag Bomb x18 (useful for stunning people in pvp).
Arcane Bomb x15 (old pre-bc schematic. useful on some fights like anub25 heroic, major wtf in pvp, really situational mana drain 5 second silence bombs).
