Tirion to the press: "Yes, we know there undead are still walking around, no the lich king was defeated, those undead will just fall over eventually"That's it in a nutshell; Blizzard is %^&*ing around with their lore and didn't take everything into account for this stupid retcon about Arthas.

It does sometimes seem like there keep different writing teams held in different rooms so they never share ideas.
Just go for the easy cop out and forget those that actully listened to all the details of lore before it.

What retcon? I don't see any retcon.
What, the whole deal about the heart, and Tirion saying Arthas is gone? Well, that's only one guy!
I'd rather trust Uther than Tirion, on that matter, as he's been locked up in that sword for over 6 years.
Sorry that WoW sucks for you.
That's another retcon though; No where in WC3 or Rise of the Lich King did it say Arthas used Frostmourne to eat Uther's soul; in both things he was too focused on getting the gooey remains of KT into that urn. Epilogue of Rise of the Lich King said the Lich King killed off his weakness; Arthas's good side and Ner'zhul; then they swapped it up for this idiotic 'There must always be a Lich King' bull&*!@, which is another retcon. I like WoW, but Wrath was a disappointment, I'm looking forward to Cata now.

True, its not explaned how Uthers soul can one minute be at his grave in plaguelands, and then be trapped in the frostmourne. Maybe he's the dr who of ghosts.

Well, does the book, or WC3 have to specifically state or show his soul was stolen? It's a runeblade --> it steals souls. For all I know, everyone who fell to Frostmourne had their soul stolen. Yea sure, the book said he wouldnt raise Uther as undead... doesnt mean he wont take his soul.He didn't kill Uther.. he let his Scourge force do it instead. And yeah, it is his soul you see in WPL, the Draenei priest your with is clear about that.
But again, whatever, it's a lame ass attempt for Blizzard to use the "It was all a Setback!" with the Scourge at a later date; never mind that it completely ruined the character, but they don't care about that in all honesty.

Quite predictable, but still entertaining.

In the book or WC3? I just played WC3 earlier, and I'm pretty sure I killed Uther.
And !@#$ I dunno about Uther's soul. It's WoW!
Why is Saurfang Jr. in Nagrand, alive, when he was killed last month?
Same with Garrosh: He's in Northrend.
And Nessingwary.... and about 100 other NPC's
RotLK says Arthas highhandedly killed Uther.
However, the sword has to be commanded to take powerful souls. Looka t when Saurfang Jr. died. Did oyu see the mist wash into the sword? That was his soul.

Yea, I know that. But seriously; WoW Players these days take things so literal. If we imply anything, then you're laughed at.
And I'm implying that his soul was stolen
his soul was stolen, twisted by the lich king, and put back in his already dead body under the lich kings control. When you kill him in icc he says 'I am released'.
I really wanted blizzard to do more resolve on him, but they went for the easy option it seems.

Am I the only one who wonders if this might mean Tirion will be getting a new model?
