One of the best things you can do for yourself is move your C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft folder outside of the Program Files directory. My WoW folder is C:\World of Warcraft. This gets you around so many of the issues where administrative-level permissions are required (installing add-ons, patches, etc.).
Give it a try and let us know how it goes. It may or may not help.

I've been trying to get on for the last 11 hours. I got on a few times briefly but everything has been total crap. Then all the sudden out of the blue my version of WoW is no longer compatible with my Windows system. Not sure what that is all about but it is total B.S. I have done numerous different things as advised by Blizzard and they all end in garbage. This patch has totally destroyed my WoW. All other patches have been fine. I have never had this much problem in the nearly 5 years I have been playing. I guess this might be the sign it is time to hang up the crossbow and let the wolf free to the wild.
