Hi, I'd like a macro that normally casts Moonfire on target. However when Alt is pressed it should cast Moonfire on focus-target (instead of primary target).
please help.

#showtooltip
/cast
(Sorry, I know I should have said "read the stickies". I dunno what's wrong with me.)

Thanks for macro, I'll try it at home. I did search for this on wowwiki for about half hour unsuccessfully. I also just now looked stickies and can't find such a macro (I was looking for 'focus' and nothing like you posted popped up).
Could you show where in stickies this is described?

Well, overall, I think there are posts detailing how to respond to modifiers and how to redirect spells to other units.

you could also check arenajunkies.com to see if it is on there... i would imagine it is...
if it is not on arenajunkies, check the warlock macros on there,... there are TONS that have focus modifiers for fear, DoTs, etc... you could just change the "Fear" to "Moonfire"
It is honestly I first hear of 'arenajunkies'. This is for pve, when switching to adds, I still want to keep my dot on the boss. I did look at "Making_a_macro', and best I came up with is a macro that did hit boss with moonfire when I pressed alt. However when I didn't press alt if also hit only the boss with moonfire.
I think it went something like this: /cast moonfire; moonfire
I agree it's possible to find the answer, but I didn't know the forums are only for bashing people who ask for answers, I thought it was ok to ask a question.
