Right, so I was browsing through the stats due to boredom and calculated that according to my character's stat sheeth thingy, I should have 70% damage reduction vs. Melees.
963 Resilience -
Provides 20.43% additional damage reduction against all damage done by players and their pets or minions.
14440 Armor -
Reduces Physical Damage taken by 48.66%
48.66+20.43=66.09% Damage Reduction vs. Melees?
1h+Shield would give me a total of
79.49%
Reduction
That sounds like an awful lot to me.

48.66%+20.43%=69.09%
but are you sure the damage reduction effects are addittive, not multiplicative?

No idea, really. I was hoping someone could shed some light over this issue.

As far as I know they are additive. Also, consider that melee damage is scaled to factor in that your target has armor to get more or less equivalent of spell damage.

You cant just add them up.
Also physical damage dots, such as most bleeds, do not ignore armor.

No, thats not what I mean.
If a bleed does physical damage, which most bleeds do, then armor reduction works.
Last time I checked anyway.
