Not that in to coding, yet, but since .lua is such a straight forward language I thought I could give it a try.
What I want is to change the bar texture of cael's plates, but for some reason when I change the 'local' lines to the texture I'm after it stops working. By stop working I mean it almost turns the addon of, or at least all the graphics.

Luls my code window must have slipped out somehow :v
local barTexture = =]
local overlayTexture = =]
local glowTexture = =]
local font, fontSize, fontOutline = =], 15, "OUTLINE"
local backdrop = {
All the local paths except 'glowTexture' and 'backdrop'

The syntax seem to be correct.
Regrettably I've never used textures enough to know what you could be doing wrong, so I'll leave it to someone more knowledgeable. (by "us" in my previous post I kinda meant "not me")

What's with the extra equal signs?
Shouldn't it be:
local barTexture = ]
local overlayTexture = ]
local glowTexture = ]
local font, fontSize, fontOutline = ], 15, "OUTLINE"
Or alternatively:
local barTexture = "Interface\\Addons\\caelNamePlates\\media\\fer28"
local overlayTexture = "nterface\\AddOns\\SharedMedia_MyMedia\\statusbar\HalJ"
local glowTexture = "Interface\\Addons\\caelNamePlates\\media\\glowTex"
local font, fontSize, fontOutline = "Interface\\Addons\\caelNamePlates\\media\\MyriadProLower.ttf", 15, "OUTLINE"

The only thing I changed was the path for where to find the files, nothing more. The rest is written by the author.

What's with the extra equal signs?Although unusual, it is correct syntax.
