1) There's no way of telling what the raid weekly is going to be, until the particular NPC spawn. In our case, we got the Sindragosa one this week after clearing the Dreamwalker encounter, last reset it was the Lady Deathwhisper one.
2) To be honest, The Plagueworks is probably the best place to start. The trash is reasonable easy to get through and doesn't have any nasty surprises up their sleeves. After that, it's a toss-up between Blood Wing and Frost Wing, though the trash in latter wing has a lot of rep in case people are still lacking some.
3) Once we have the tactics locked down, we do reasonably well. We're still stuck on Sindragosa, who was the first wing-end boss not to die in the first week.
4) Last night, with no wipes and no long breaks, we cleared Marrowgar -> Saurfang, the Plagueworks, Blood Wing and the Dreamwalker encounter. But that was with a full raid who knew what they were doing, so for a progression run you should be able to do at least Plagueworks in 2-3 hours.
5) The "solid" group we run with (usually have one or two replacements) is: Prot pala, UH DK Tank, Resto Shaman, Arcane mage, Shadowpriest, Mutilate rogue, DPS warr (Arms/Fury specs), DPS DK (UH/Frost specs).
We usually have a resto druid coming along (we have three or so in the guild who are geared, but don't play very often), and then pick up whatever we want for the last spot. Our shadowpriest has a Disc offspec, but he really hates healing, so last night we went with a Ele/Resto-shaman. You NEED 3 healers for Frost Wing, in order to speed up the Dreamwalker encounter and keep healing up on Sindragosa.

Well Stinky did wipe us the first time we got around him :P
I remember the first time we killed him (her?), the other tank was slow to taunt, so I had 10 debuffs before he picked him up.
Needless to say, I bubbled and spent the 12 seconds or so doing /rude at him :D

You can LoS the Stinky aura. You can't LoS the decimate, but if you do get 10 stacks you can run quick out of LoS so the periodic damage doesn't kill you.

1. As Robotusch said, I'm pretty sure there's no way to know until it pops, totally random.
2. Plagueworks, definitely.
3. My guild is pretty decent, but we got a lotta folks with iffy connections...it only takes one laggy dps'er or d/c'd healer to cause a wipe, and although some of us have pugged to completion, as a guild we haven't killed the LK yet (I've not killed him myself either, although our other tank got pugged for it...sigh lucky bastard)
4. From the instance entrance, we can usually get past Saurfang within 3 hours... if we're not beating our heads in due to d/c wipes.
5. (From a 10man perspective, we haven't progressed anywhere worth noting as a guild in 25m) - DK tank (me), pally tank, resto druid and shammy , holy pally, 1 hunter, 1 mage, 1 destro lock, ret pally, and a fury warrior. Not optimal but our main goal as a guild is to hang out, we don't have the time or manpower to make progression serious business (although admittedly a few of us would like to).
And claad... we actually wiped on Stinky and Precious several times before we realized they had an actual strategy and we read up on it. Fun times... :P

1. Been answered
2-3 I'd agree the order in which they opened. My guild has gotten the first wing and rotface/fester, but hasn't gotten anything else. Our biggest problem is coordination on Rotface (we've downed him, but we're still stuck on him), which is the same problem we have on council. Haven't attempted Valithria yet.
4. This is going to be very subjective, and depends a lot on the following:
Raid DPS
Time between pulls
Recovery after wipes and number of wipes
What the weekly raid is (e.g. if it's on gunship, that's an extra mini-boss).
Number of breaks
Solid 3 hour run with very high DPS and no breaks/wipes, you'll get very far. 1-2 wipes per boss with 10 minute recovery, ninja AFKs, and barely enough DPS and you'll probably get an attempt or two at Saurfang.
5. 10 druid. If not, 10 pally.
On a more serious note, you can't just consider buffs/debuffs, but also loot (e.g. if you bring a prot warrior and a prot pally, they need to share, but prot pally and feral druid can get different gear) and stacking of specific effects (e.g. battle rez). Normally I'd suggest a stacked caster or melee group, but due to some fights (read: deathwhisper) this isn't recommended.

In a 10 man icc can you have 1 or 2 more in with out changing it to a 25 raid?
No. And necroing is bad.
