Wowhead Client / Looter - Disable Character Details Collection?

Is there any way to stop the client addon (wowhead looter) from collecting character data when I log in and open my crafting windows?
I already unticked the "Upload character data" in the client options - but the ingame addon still insists on collecting the data anyway.
There are two reasons I'd like to disable the collection :-
I'm not planning to upload my character details - so why bother wasting CPU cycles on collecting it?
It's slows my login sequence down. Lagaran is already laggy enough without this slowing my login down even more.
I'd like to continue to contribute to wowhead, but this drives me nuts every time I log in enough that I'm tempted to disable to whole thing.

Hmm...this is actually something we've never been asked for. I think the collection may be faster than you think, though—try using the
/wl nospam
command and see if you still notice?

If I understand it correctly, all that does is hide the messages appearing - rather than stop the collection. That's like curing an abrasion on your arm by wearing a blindfold.
The collection may well be a lot quicker than I perceive it, but even if it's only contributing a little - I'd at least like the option to disable it. Ideally, I'd like the collection of data to be linked to between the addon and the client software - so that the option in the client is honoured by the addon.
All I'm suggesting is that if the client options are set to not upload data... why should the addon spend time collecting it?
I think you have indirectly answered my question though: Is there a way to disable the collection? Not at this time.

Ahh, forgive me for not answering you directly. No, we don't currently have that option. I will look into having it added though. I only offered the "nospam" solution as a stopgap measure.
