Does the installation complete? Does it ask you to specify your World of Warcraft directory and for your information and all, or no?

Apparently I was just as confused as you are. The Wowhead Client is a standalone app so once you have downloaded it and extracted it, that's it - there's no "installer," you just need to know where you have extracted it to. They changed it a few months on me, those rascals.
So, if you have downloaded the ZIP file from us and ran the Client found within (which asked for your WoW directory information and all that), the Client should already be running in the background (check your taskbar, if you're using Windows) or just needs to be ran in order to upload data. If you're not sure where it was extracted to, you can do a system search for the 'Wowhead Client' application and move it wherever you want (for example, mine is chillin' on my desktop).

Hi,
I think I'm out of luck.
While trying to upload my data, the told me it had a problem and asked if I wanted to have more info. I clicked yes and it sent me to the download page.
I downloaded the program and re-installed. Now I'm getting earlier issue whereby the program is not starting after downloading an upgrade.
Yeah! Got the issue. You should not launch the program from a shortcut. Run the program directly. Then it will work.
Regard
Jeremie
