18/53/0 as a raiding build (Mental Agility in holy)

Was just pondering over this the other day. The 10% mana reduction on instants could become very useful, what with constant PoM, CoH and renew if the other 2 are on CD and you have to move.
At the same time though it does become problematic - the issue of wasting a "filler" point in the disco tree to pick it up, meaning it becomes a 4 point spend instead of 3. This means only 1/3 inspiration (although I don't consider this the be-all and end-all of raid healing anyway), 1/3 empowered renew (which I only use as an SoL/HC proccing tool), and no test of faith (which I most certainly would miss). Oh and no SoR either, unless you drop a point out of one of the deeper holy talents that you don't really want to drop.
Any thoughts? Anyone ever tried it out?

Lacking Spirit of Redemption is automatic grounds for Disqualification. Test of Faith is huge in my book too. It isn't worth making a few of your secondary spells cheaper if you make most of your primary spells less effective.

Taking the above suggestions into effect you get the
Slightly different 13/53/0
Which I then dub "Fresh 80 Mana regen/saver build"....why you ask, because it trades at the very least 10% mana efficiency of your instants spells for 5% healing effect of all spells.
Speaking as if you actually looked at the build, I justified rebuilding the 3/3 inspiriation because i am a disc priest and I really do consider mitigation a part of healing and so that talent could read "your spells gain an additional 10% healing for 15 sec after getting a crit on the target"
thus the trade off there is 7% on all healing after a crit lands, or 3% baseline......(making 5/5 spiritual healing and 1/3 blessed resilience)
To the opening post, if you go with the build i suggest, fewer holy priests zealots will attack you. The trade is 3% healing for 10% mana reduction on instants, and THEN 2% healing for a "filler" talent. the first is fairly easy to defend, then second is a BIT harder. And so a word to the wise.....throw that last point into the
slience and fear reducer
saying that "the healer needs to heal during a fearing chaos right?"....oh and please if you do use these specs, make sure to macro in the Inner Focus into at least Divine hymn, if not Prayer of Healing too.

My question to you would be are you having mana issues during long fights? If no is your answer, why would you sacrafice some of the
KEY
talents in the holy tree for an added 10% mana reduction your not needing in the first place?
Just something to think about

@ Oscar - you consider Circle of Healing and Prayer of Mending "secondary spells"?
@Ande - mostly fair argument, but Inspiration only mitigates
physical
damage, not all damage. Being a raid healer, that has diminished usefulness to holy compared to disco. Sure, I heal the melee classes too, obviously, but if inspiration procs on a hunter/clothy/healer, it's basically wasted.
@Vindeta - yes, that is exactly the question. Being fairly fresh, only time will tell.

tbh - you can obv switch around imp renew, B&S, BR, HP, IH, HR as you wish.
this kind of spec can work(one of our holypriests used to run with it), but i dont know what you were thinking when you specced that one you linked, so much mandatory missing...
@ donny : inspiration aint wasted.. you never assist on tanks? are you implying that the only classes that get physical damage taken is melee? basicly wasted.. sigh.. heard about stray adds(vdw anyone?), snobolds, BOOOOONESTOOOORM, BBmelee(obviously this is if ranged fail, but guess what they do fail sometimes)? there's prolly alot more but i cba to think properly atm.
SoR, ToF, (B&S), BR, Inspiration > Emp healing, unless you spam GH ofc. and if you're doing that you need to take a good look at your talents.

Empowered healing buffs up flash heal too.
Invariably
, my top 3 healing spells are CoH, PoM, and FH, which should be plenty justification for sticking with Empowered healing.

i wasnt looking for justification for sticking with emp healing, thats okay. im looking for justification for not picking up inspiration / SoR.
maybe i overkilled it with adding BR, ToF and B&S, those are more of a personal preference tbh, meh sorry about that, im an ass sometimes.
SoR benefit all your healing spells. AND your mana.(which probably is the problem in the first place if you go for MA) inspiration also benefit most your healing spells

Well what' you're doing is sacrificing Throughput for Regen. If you need that then... great?
I do think that CoH and PoM are secondary spells as your primary nuke healing spells are Prayer of Healing and Flash Heal to build up Serendipity. You use them every time they're off CD.
This is mana conservation build that is fine if you don't mind trading that mana cost of a small number of spells to the throughput of all of your spells. I don't believe this is a good trade-off. Just my opinion.

Mmkay, thanks for the feedback everyone. As I said, this was only an experimental thing - it's not the first time I've posted this type of thread and it won't be the last either :P. Just for the record, I don't have Mental Agility in my build and probably won't be picking it up either...
