Each class its pros and cons. If you enjoy it, than learn what ever class you play as best you can and have fun.
There is no best class.
My bias view: Hunters ftw

Rogues, Hunters, Paladins.
Your mileage may vary.

for simplistic pleasure in hitting lots of stuff all over the place.
hunters.
a MM hunter was a lot of fun in BC.
survival will be my next trial when I get back home. but from playing a rogue, paladin, mage, and lock all at 80 in bgs the hunter is and always will be the most fun for general mayhem in bgs.
your not quite a singular slayer of anything but sure can change the tide if your set right. postioning is really fun in AV.. ( hello shooting through hills, standing on top of hills totally oblivious to everyone your hitting for hours... and your silly pet can be sent to harrass casters while you shoot that silly rogue who just appeared behind your casters)
reminds me of snipers... silent... patient.. and laughing at the pile of bodies:D
