So I get into H UP through the LFD system to get my 2 frost badges last night. Everyone in the group is pretty decked out so Im thinking this is gonna be a quick and painless run. We get into the first hallway and I throw a rejuv and a regrowth on the DK tank and sit back and let it tick away. Those 2 HoTs plus a few nourishes keep the tanks health at a good level. But the Mage in the group starts spamming me in chat to HoT the tank. For some strange reason he was taking it very personal that I wasn't using Lifebloom. I told him it really wasn't needed in this situation plus it tends to be a little mana intensive. He then procedes to tell me that lifebloom is the best HoT that Druids have and Im basically a noob for not using it. After we kill the first boss he and his tank buddy leave the group.
Now to be honest I rarely ever use lifebloom any more, just for the simple fact that I've never really needed too except in an "oh @&!$" moment. Am I mistaken or is this just a case of someone who thinks they know how to play your class better than you do? And how do you respond to people like this?

ChuckRox, the problem with that is that you then get a bad reputation because people believe you. If I were one of the other members in the group I would have probably put you on my "do not run with" list. A better solution would be to keep doing your job right, give a brief explanation of why you're right, and then not argue with the player if they press the issue (because its a waste of time past 1 explanation).

Don't listen to idiots you meet in randoms. That mage is living 2 years in the past ... LB has long since been nerfed severely and is no longer the awesome spell it once was.
It is still nice to have on tanks if they take a lot of damage but far from necessary if the tank is well geared.

I must have a real a-hole magnet attached to me because I ran into another genius last night while lvling my priest in Sunken Temple. This time it was a fellow priest who was shadow spec'd and queued for DPS. I was healing and we had just killed the last of the minibosses and were jumping down the lower lvl when the tank jumped into the middle of 3 groups and accidently pulled them all. I tried my best but there was no way we were gonna make it, so we wiped. So while we were all running back the priest says in party chat that Im a fail healer and that he had to pick up my slack. I checked my dps meter and he was only doing 4% of the dps. I told him if I was a fail healer he was an even bigger fail dps'er and he should roll a hunter (sorry to all the good hunters). He voted to get me kicked but it didnt pass, so I voted to kick him and he was. I love the new LFD system but the down side is you get everyone elses dumba$$'.

Eh, there's idiots at all levels, on all realms, and on both factions. I was in one on my mid-30s warrior while my friend was on his shaman. I go tanky, he heals while still pulling 250 DPS (yeah, a level 38 ele sham I've seen his overall at 270 DPS when he's kept up healing me with no mana breaks), and we've got a good thing going. On one run, we had a balance druid who was complaining about mana. I told him "you're not that much DPS anyway, just drink and catch up" so he starts calling me a bad tank. Then my friend links damage meters, and says "look, I'm healing, AND doing 4x your damage, and I have mana" so the druid says "I can heal better than you." To prove his point he popped Tranquility, to show just how much HPS he can do. During tranq, we had no damage, so it was all overhealing...
You get people like that. When they say things like, take a brief look at the situation (e.g. wiping on putricide last night was the fault of the healers - e.g. me) and decide if you need to improve then do so, and if you decide it really wasn't your fault then ignore the problematic player and you'll never get randomed with them again.
