jus wait until the patch and they take away the cooldown for titansteel. no more people buying cooldowns, and no more 100g a bar on AH. there goes my main moneymaker.

This is just dumb.
People that think their account is more likely to be hacked because they bought gold are just paranoid. I bought about 2k worth of gold in TBC because I had a really difficult time farming it (and I honestly think farming is tiresome and boring -- I'd much rather be raiding).
It was the best money I spent. I went to a reputable gold seller, and got my gold and never had an issue. It allowed me to get ahead of the curve.
Now in Wrath, I've never needed to buy gold. On my server people run GDKPs all the time, and with 5 80's, I can easily make 12k gold just from doing ICC25 on them each week. I also sell a tremendous amount of gems and crafted i245 and i264 gear on the AH, as well as some high level BoEs. I'm usually sitting on an average of 125k gold now a days (with some spent gearing up my new level 80 warrior, which I got from fresh 80 to 5.4k gs in 3 days played).
If people pay for gold and use them to buy gear in GDKPs, I could care less, I'll happily take their money on the runs.

Everyone says that goldsellers hack wow accounts. How?
I'm not interested in buying gold, I'm too cheap in RL for that. I love real money more then fake gold. But still, I'm real curious as to how they can hack an account. I even went to websites that sold gold to see if I could see the loophole. So far nothing comes to mind. Most use paypal to make payments and you'll never get me to believe that they hack paypal (not that it's unhackable, only I doubt goldsellers would still bother with wow if they could hack something that big).
I've seen how transactions are made, and it's either through the AH or in game trade.
So how are accounts hacked?
Now, I've seen buying and selling of accounts and YES! that is hack city there. You have to give all info on your account, which is just plain stupid. But hacking accounts buy a simple exchange of gold? I can't see how it happens.

Those sites very frequently have hidden malware on them; without appropriate protection (such as Malwarebytes and a decent virus scanner), that malware will get downloaded when you visit the site. The malware is a key logger that records your keystrokes and then uploads that record to the "hacker's" site. If the key logger is specifically WoW-related, it likely does not kick on until it sees the WoW.exe process in your task list.
At that point it sucks up your username/password, spits it across the Internet - and sometime soon you find that the password on your account has been changed and your toon is stripped naked and broke.

I made 5K gold daily with only 30min of
playing
with the AH since I was lvl 30.
currently I've more than 160K and stop with the AH. I've 2 guild banks, one with 6 tabs, other one with 4 tab and I'd mats to made almost all recipes in the game.
My current profit is from selling "profession level mats packs" from 1 to 450.
in BS, eng and JC.

Blizzard may adopt a method to prevent gold selling by modifying AH transactions so that the seller is anonymous and irrational bids for items are rejected:

I would say that if the online auction house is to have any viability without destroying the player's trust, something like this proposal is required.

I want to see the toons of players who buy gold to be hung in cages outside their race's city like the pirates of old.
Slowly decaying. A warning to others that some favours come with too high a price.
I would wave at them.

Isn't it supposed to be their head on a spike as a warning to the next 10 generations?
