Gold buying and what you think

I recall early on being upset that someone was selling/buying stuff online for my shard/server. Now, I can understand the reason behind the
bartering of service or goods
for some. Time + Fun.
What you've just described is, in the common vernacular, called
cheating
.
It's essentially like stealing money from the bank while playing a game of Monopoly. Games have rules for a reason, and regardless of your rationalization of why people do it, it does not alter the fact that they are breaking the rules, and thus are cheating at the game.
The actions of gold buyers do have a tangible impact on those of us attempting to play the game by the rules; gold sales led to the implementation of cross-character mail delays and to an artificial inflation of the price of goods.

First of all, I wouldn't go around admitting that not only did you purchase gold from a gold seller (against Blizzard's ToS), but you also reversed the charge even though you received goods (theft).
Secondly, why are you resurrecting a topic that's over three years old?

Somone once try to sell gold for me for credit card info, i ended up reversing it and getting the gold and not giving them legit number, is that legal? can i get banned for this even tho they did not get legit credit info?
You can get banned for any reason Blizzard sees fit. Read the ToS/ToU. And to answer your specific question, yes. It is against the ToS/ToU to exchange real world money for in game items, with the sole exception of buying trading cards and redeeming codes on those for special items.
So yeah, you could get permanently banned for doing this. In fact, I hope you do.

Buying gold has a dierect negative impact on the WoW economy.
I won't get into the fancy bits, but it increases WoW's overinflation.

Ironically it also causes deflation. There has been a rash of different kinds of botters and dupers noticed recently. There is an entire network of bots engaged in AH wars, flipping mats and resetting market prices. They span almost every realm.
Then there has been the rash of Jewelled Onyx Panthers being barked for less than mats, in some cases dramatically less. And now they've gotten into the Haunting Spirits game as they did with Blood Spirits and Queen's Garnets. If they haven't hit your server yet barking stacks of Haunting Spirits for firesale prices, they will.

And when they do, I will get rich making the new 522 gear

he was convinced that if you were to use a legit service, then it wouldn't have any problems.
Then he is an idiot and deserves to be banned, it's that simple.
No, there is no legitimate way to cheat.
"Buying gold" just means you are too lazy to play a freakin' video game, and that is just sad.
Edit because: Warden. Google it if you don't know what it is.

You might think that, but the truth is that every other crafter on your server will have the same idea and you'll face a race to the bottom as the Spirit prices continue to fall driving the cost of producing the goods down and the supply up.

There are def. legit gold selling services
Wrong, incorrect, false and not true! Buying and selling gold is against Wows ToS and EULA, therefore impossible to be considered legitimate by any definition.
however it is an issue of morals you could say if your willing to take that step
I agree with this part but would add it goes beyond just morals and falls into the realm of rules and laws.
To be clear every time a player buys gold they are putting their account and the accounts of all other players at risk.
DON'T BUY GOLD!

Smart move Xyrath#1485
Openly announcing your intention to exploit something within the game and leaving a way to identify you in your sig.
I really don't think you can consider it exploiting. There is no way for him to know if a series of bots, or whatever, are driving the average AH price down on Haunting Spirits. I guarantee there aren't many here who are going to look at the cost of a Haunting Spirit and say, "that just seems too low... I'm not going to buy it and flip it into a piece of gear to use or resell."(##RESPBREAK##)2060##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##

There is one here who is not going to buy. Me.
Gold is moronically easy to come by without aiding or abetting cheaters or thieves. Especially when those cheaters and thieves have a direct impact on the game by stealing/hacking player accounts, stealing credit card information, committing identity fraud, and driving Blizzard's costs up by requiring them to spend more resources countering them thereby necessitating maintenance of revenue from Character Transfers, Realm Transfers et al.
Nothing happens in a vacuum and the consequences are far more reaching than you may initially think.
So yeah, not every Wowheader stoops that low Sas, but thanks for your low opinion of us.
