All the Old Guardians of Tirisfal can be considered heroes?
They protected the World, not the Alliance heh.

they never pledge loyalty to the alliance, they were a secret sect of the kirin tor.
nobody knew of their existence, and perhaps even within the kirin tor only the council of six ever knew that they were there.
as a whole they can't be considered heroes of the alliance, because their job was to fight legion whenever and wherever it shows up.
so, if legion forces atack an orc village, it was the duty of the guardians to defend that orc village (of course, this is all hypotetic, by the time the orcs actually showed up in the world, there were no more guardians thanks to aegwynn's stuck up nature.)

No, the Grand Alliance was formed during the Second War.

I just read a little on Staghelm, and he seems like Garrosh, from what ppl are sayin bout Garrosh in Cata. I say this, because Staghelm and Garrosh both think their race is superior to the others of their faction. Both are strong and demanding leaders, but it tends to cause issues.
I made this assumption off of what little I know as of right now, but am I close or way off?

No, Fandral has been corrupted by the Nightmare since before WoW started; he was a good commander during War of the Sands, and helped to unify the races of that time period in dealing with the first invasion of the Silithids and the Qarji. But, because of the way he lost his son, he withdrew to attempt to find someway, no matter how dark to bring him back, and that's how the Nightmare got his hooks into the archdruid.

Also: Turalyon is one of the greatest Alliance heroes ever. Not only did he avenge Lothar, but he also showed mercy to the orcs and worked to prevent racial hatred against them in the Alliance. :)
Didn't he pretty much swear he'd kill every last one of them, other than Doomhammer?
A paladin shouldn't go back on his promises like that.Thank you for asking, it allows me to draw from my vast repository of Turalyon quotes... :)
“You will stand trial for your crimes," he told the unconscious orc, the light building around him. “You will stand in Capital City, in chains”--it was brighter than the brightest day now, and every orc turned away, cowering from the blinding light--“as the leaders of the Alliance decide your fate, and there you will acknowledge your full defeat.”
Then he turned and glanced up, this time at the other orc warriors, who had stood frozen as they had watched their leader's apparent victory converted to stunning defeat. “But you will not be so lucky,” Turalyon intoned, leveling the shattered sword at them. Light lanced from it and from his hand, his head, his eyes. The black rock around him was blanched white by the power that poured from his body. “You will die here, with the rest of your kind, and this world will be rid of your taint forever!” And with that he leaped forward, the sun-bright blade already in motion. It caught the first orc in the throat before he could even react, and the brute fell, blood spurting from the wound, as Turalyon charged past him toward the other half-blinded Horde warrior.
That broke the paralysis, and the other orcs and humans finally were able to move again. Uther and the other Silver Hand Paladins had joined the throng during Lothar and Doomhammer's battle and now ran forward to follow their fellow, auras sprining up around them as well as the dove into the gathered Horde. The rest of the Alliance forces followed.
The battle that followed was surprisingly quick. Manay of the orcs had seen Doomhammer's defeat, and their leader's collapse sent them into a panic. Many fled. Othersdropped their weapons and surrendered--these were rounded up for imprisonment and, despite his earlier statement, Turalyon found that he did not have it in himself to kill helpless prisoners, no matter what they done beforehand.

“Oof!” He stumbled forward, so lost in thought that he hadn’t seen the pair of children until they’d slammed into him.
“Sorry, mister!” the boy cried. The girl gazed up at him with solemn brown eyes. Turalyon smiled and patted her hair as he spoke to the boy.
“With an attack like that you’ll make a fine soldier one day,” he said.
“Oh yes, sir, I hope so, sir! You think all the orcs will be dead before I’m old enough to kill them?”
Turalyon smile faltered. “I’m sure you’ll be able to serve the Alliance well,” he said, evading the question. Revenge. The fiery need and anger it kindled in the heart had cost Turalyon someone he loved. He would say nothing to foster racial hatred in a child.

“There were rumors of orcs hiding among the peaks there.” allowed herself a grim smile. “We found ten of them.” Turalyon did not have to ask what she and her rangers had done with the discovered orcs. He wondered if she’d started taking trophies. He’d seen her once crouching over a body, a savage grin on her face, and had been stunned by the glee she took in killing.
“Alleria,” he said quietly, “I’ve been writing you and you’ve never answered. You owe me nothing. I understand that. But if . . . what happened between us means you can no longer work with me, I need to know that now. I’m your commander. I--the Alliance--can’t afford to find out on the battlefield that you’re not listening, or not obeying.” He waited until she looked at him. “Do you have a problem with that?”
“There is no problem,” the blond elf answered sharply. “The Alliance wants every orc dead. So do I. We can work together on that.”
“That’s all we are to you now--a means to an end. A way to kill more orcs more quickly.”
“What else is there?” she answered. “Khadgar only found me because my band and I were hunting orc renegades in Alterac. I agreed to meet with him at Nethergarde because his messenger said it involved orcs, and I agreed to bring his summons to you for the same reason.” She frowned. “And the sooner we reach Lordaeron, the sooner I can seek out more of those green-skinned abominations and cleanse this land of their filth!” Her voice rose with passion and her eyes flashed. Some heads turned in their direction. “I will see them dead, every last one of them. Even if it takes me a hundred years!”
Turalyon felt a shiver run down his spine. “Alleria,” he began, pitching his voice low, “you’re talking genocide.”
The smile that curved her lips was a cruel one. “It is only genocide when those being slain are people. This is nothing more than exterminating vermin.”
He realized with a shock that she honestly believed her words. She really didn’t see the orcs as sentient people. She saw them as abominations, as monsters, as . . . rats. Turalyon knew he had slain his fair share of them--had done so at times with great anger in his heart at what they had done to his people. But this . . . Alleria didn’t want justice. She didn’t want the orcs to pay for the crimes they had committed, she wanted to hurt them. To exterminate an entire race, if she could.

“Bring me an orc, and believe me, I’ll get out of him what we want to know.” The way said it and the set of his jaw made Turalyon flinch. He saw in Danath’s face an echo of Alleria’s single-minded hatred of the orcs. For all their brutality, for all the pain and damage and hurt to this world they had caused, he could not help but pity whatever captive Danath Trollbane took it upon himself to question. He only hoped the orc would speak quickly--for its sake, and their own.

Turalyon nodded. “Then we’ll have to go after both,” he decided. He glanced at the others, weighing options in his head. “Danath, I think you’d like to kill a few more orcs.”
“Indeed, sir, yes I would.”
Turalyon sighed. It pained him to see those he was fond of so revenge-ridden. But who was he to judge--he had not seen his whole contingent slaughtered while he fled to get aid. Danath would have to make peace with his pain in his own way, as Alleria had finally done. He would need to learn that you could fight without hate in your heart--fight for something, rather than against it.

Ty for clearing that up. When I read about him on wowkiki, it said he is a Nelf elitest and they are the superior race. That reminded me of Garrosh changing Orgrimmar into a steel fortress and his distain for the other horde races

No, the Grand Alliance was formed during the Second War.
Even so, Lothar's deeds prior to the forming of the Grand Alliance (First War) is part of his heroic tale as a champion of the Alliance... or of the alliance's races.
The most important thing I learned in this thread is that
spanish latin americans also use the word gringo
Morrowgrain thing.
Delt, I was talking about the council of Trisfal heh.

Tirion said he is going to remain loyal to the Alliance until his dying day (but I already told you that, so believe what you want), and Khadgar did not leave the Alliance just because he doesnt show it in game-he still has the 'Sons of Lothar' title.
And as for the "All alliance heros are dead and hordes are loyal beyond count', I used to think that too... until I did some reaserch. The Horde seems to have it worse.

Indeed... Rend Blackhand, Zul'jin, Kargath Bladefist, Cho'gall, Teron Gorefiend, Varimathras, etc.
As for Lothar and Khadgar: I would say that they are indeed part of the Alliance, but they have taken up causes beyond the scope of the Alliance as well and have come to terms with the Horde. Just because one is Alliance does not automatically exlude them from the company of the Horde, after all.
