Very true, but landsouls spreadsheet led me to believe that even with all the arp on my gear as well as my nes i'll pull more dps gemming str than arp. I've kind of hit a wall, I wish I knew what to do. :/
To be COMPLETELY honest with you man, unless you're in one of your servers' top raiding guilds, the armor pen soft cap route is completely optional. You're not going to see a jaw-dropping difference by getting to that 721(with NES) mark.
But as Brokle said, dont halfa$$ it, either. Go for the cap or dont use any arp gems at all. I've met a few high end geared warriors that dont use ArP at all. I'm sure they're doing less on the meters then their arp hardcapped competition, but until you're attempting the Lich King every week, it's gunna come down to preference.
(My opinion, stick to strength for now)
